Nigerian government virtually inaugurates seven digital economy projects in five zones

The Federal Government on Friday in Abuja virtually inaugurated seven Information Technology (IT) projects located in five geo-political zones of the country. The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, said at the event that they were part of efforts to consolidate on implementing the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS). Pantami said that the projects were in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s key agenda, which included economic development, security and fight against corruption. Lagos inaugurates six-man governing board for alternative high school for girls

Lagos State Government has inaugurated a six-member Governing Board for Alternative High School for Girls In Aboju area of the state. The moves aimed at promoting the growth of both formal and informal education in the state. The state government, therefore, in demonstration of its commitment to full implementation of its mass literacy policy, charged the board to ensure that the school continues to excel in all its activities while sustaining its current impressive standard. Agence France-Presse Spokesman to Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, has debunked a report that Vladimir Putin is planning to resign due to health issues. Citing a connected Russian political scientist Valery Solovei, The Sun on Friday reported that Mr. Putin is considering to step down due to health issues. The tabloid said there have been claims that Mr. Putin has been nursing Parkinson’s disease and his daughters and 37-year-old wife are prevailing on him to stand down. Ekiti governor appoints two principals as tutors-general

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has approved the appointment of two principals as Tutors-General into the State Teaching Service. The Tutors-General are : Mrs Omogbemi Margaret Adejoke for Ekiti Central and Mrs. Ojo Olufunke Rhoda for Ekiti South. Kano court remands nine men for attempted murder

The principal suspect Amiru Umar, 32 was arraigned alongside eight others on two-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy and attempt to commit culpable homicide. WASCE commences examination in 521 centres in Nasarawa

West Africa School Certificate Examination WASCE commenced examinations for the final year students in 521 centres in Nasarawa with adequate arrangements in accordance with the Covid-19 pandemic protocols. The State Commissioner of Education, Fati Sabo, while monitoring the conduct of the examination in some public and private centres in the state to ascertain the level of compliance said a total of 521 centres were created for the Senior Secondary school Certificate Examination in the State.
