Lil Nas X will receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the 2022 Songwriters Hall of Fame gala, which will be held June 16 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. The songwriter/artist born Montero Lamar Hill will become only the second songwriter/artist associated with hip-hop to receive the honor. The first was Drake in 2011.
