Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha explains Jordan Ayew penalty swap against Manchester United

Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha has englightened the public on the incident leading to replacing Ghana striker Jordan Ayew in retaking a missed penalty during Saturday’s Premier League triumph over Manchester United. The Eagles have made it two away wins over Manchester United in a row as they registered a 3-1 triumph at Old Trafford, and taking three points for the second straight time in this term. With Palace 1-0 up, Ayew won a penalty for his side and elected himself to take the resultant kick which was saved by goalkeeper David de Gea. Palace were, however, spared by a video assistant referee (VAR) decision which ordered for a retake of the kick, judging De Gea to have moved off his line before the kick was taken. Surprisingly, Ayew did not step up for the retake, which was this...

Andy Cole believes in Manchester United strike force with or without Jadon Sancho

Manchester United are still being heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho. There’s just over two weeks to go until the transfer window shuts, so the Reds would want to be getting a move on if they plan to land Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main target this summer. Talks have not progressed like we would have wanted and the thought of daily updates has become tiresome. We call it saga, in Germany they refer to it was ‘Sancho Poker’. Former Man United striker Andy Cole doesn’t sound too bothered about the club potentially missing out on Sancho this summer. Cole thinks United already have enough striking talent. “Ole’s got Man United playing the way Man United should be player — attacking football,” Cole told the Daily Mirror. “Some of the signings Ole’s made have made Manche...
