RCCG cancels Pastor Adeboye’s visit to Plateau

The Region 8 headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Jos has announced the postponement of the coming of the General Overseer of the Church for an interdenominational service in Plateau State. It would be recalled that the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye was billed to be in Camp ground of the Church, located at Kassa, Barkin Ladi local government area of the State on the 30th of the month. NSF: 8,000 athletes, others to undergo coronavirus protocols – minister

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, says the 20th National Sports Festival in Edo will go ahead as planned from April 2 to April 14 under strict COVID-19 protocols. Dare also said that the reduced 8,000 athletes and officials for the Games would go through all the necessary COVID-19 protocols. Minister confirms new date for National Sports Festival

The ministers of youths and sports development, Sunday Dare, yesterday confirmed April 2nd to April 14th as the new date for the 20th National Sports Festival to kick-off. He made the announcement during a visit to the Edo State Government House in Benin City, the Edo State capital. He also announced that Edo State will be used for the National Camp in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games taking place later this year. Myanmar military to hold new elections after one-year state of emergency

The Myanmar military said on Monday that it will rerun the multi-party general elections after a one-year state of emergency declared earlier in the day. The Union Election Commission will be reformed and the electoral process in the parliamentary elections held in November 2020 will be reviewed in accordance with the laws, the military said in a televised statement. “After the state of emergency period, free and fair multi-party general elections will be rerun and the state power will be handed over to an elected party which meets the democratic standards,’’ it said.
