Portishead Announce First Show in Seven Years to Support Ukraine

For the first time in seven years, Portishead are back together. The British rockers are slated to support Ukraine in a small benefit show in an upcoming livestreamed event. The event is on May 2 at the O2 Academy Bristol, and is raising money for War Child’s efforts in Ukraine. Portishead are returning to their hometown, which they share with headliners IDLES, for the event. Billy Nomates, Katy J Pearson, Heavy Lungs, Wilderman, and Willie J Healy are also scheduled to perform. “We are really pleased to be able to support the people of Ukraine by performing a few songs at this event in collaboration with the amazing War Child charity,” Portishead said in a statement.
