Porter Robinson Recounts Early Career-Defining Moments, First Ever Show In New Interview

It’s hard to believe that it has been nearly a decade since Porter Robinson was signed to Skrillex‘s OWSLA imprint, propelling the then-fledgling producer into the spotlight.  It was a fire-starting moment for Robinson’s career, but the story starts much earlier, as we learned in a new interview with British GQ wherein Robinson recounted the early “wins” that took his music production from hobby to career path. Asked about when he knew he wanted to become a professional musician, Robinson described the process as “gradual.” Perhaps unsurprisingly, his earliest musical inspiration came from the popular arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. Robinson’s older brother had brought home a copy when the artist was just 12. He ultima...

Rezz Drops Mechanized Remix of Porter Robinson’s ‘shehealseverything”

After teasing a clip earlier in the week and subsequently stoking the flames of excitement in her cult following, REZZ released a remix of Porter Robinson‘s “shehealseverything.” This marks the second release in the past month on her “secret tunes” account after July’s Melanie Martinez remix.  While Porter’s original feels like a neon-tinged dreamscape, REZZ’s revision feels more like a darkened nightmare you don’t want to wake up from. Maintaining key aspects from the original, in true REZZ fashion, the bass is dialed up and arranged to sound like a stomping, mechanical behemoth. As many fans know, this is not the first time REZZ has remixed one of the Worlds producer’s tunes. Back in the fall of 2018, the goggle-c...

However, at the time of writing, neither have divulged any further information about the “Fellow Feeling” remix, including an o...
