A tour van belonging to Harry Styles’ crew was hijacked by gunmen in Brazil early Friday morning, local news outlet G1 reports. Three men stopped the van on highway BR-116 outside Curitiba, where Styles is still scheduled to perform December 10th. According to the show’s producer, the vehicle was carrying t-shirts and other merch that was to be sold to fans. New merch will be sent to the venue. Per NME, local police added that the attackers “subdued” the driver of the van, and there have been no official statements regarding potential injuries. It appears that neither Styles nor any of his band members were in the van. This week, SZA turns up the volume for her standout S.O.S cut “F2F.” “SZA goes grunge” was not a sentence I was ever expecting to write, but when the mastermind singer-songwriter teased her new album S.O.S a couple weeks ago, she mentioned she’d be drawing upon “surf rock and grunge” alongside her usual contemplative R&B sound. With “F2F,” an unexpected highlight on an otherwise immaculate collection of songs, we see what she meant: “F2F” is a pop punk jam through and through, and it’s a satisfying comb...

SZA has finally returned with her sophomore album, S.O.S. Stream it below via Apple Music or Spotify. Arriving more than five years after the TDE singer’s breakout debut, Ctrl, the 23-track project includes features from Phoebe Bridgers (“Ghost in the Machine”), the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard (“Forgiveless”), and Travis Scott (“Open Arms”). S.O.S also boasts the previously released singles “Good Days,” “I Hate U,” and “Shirt.” The artwork for S.O.S takes inspiration from a photo of Princess Diana, as the pride of Maplewood, New Jersey recently explained. “Originally I was supposed to be on top of a shipping barge, but in the references that I pulled for that, I pulled the Diana reference,” SZA told Hot 97. “I just loved how isolated she felt and that’s what I wanted to convey the mos...
When RM officially introduced himself to the music industry through BTS‘ debut in 2013, the then-18-year-old Kim Namjoon was known through the stage name Rap Monster after being praised by hip-hop veterans for his spitting abilities, but he later shared a love-hate relationship with the moniker. In 2017, the star made the formal move to professionally go by RM after realizing it didn’t fully represent who he was or his love for all music. Instead, “RM” now opened his name up to represent a range of meanings, one of them thought to be the “Real Me.” Even if rap is where RM started, his first proper solo album, Indigo, shows that it’s only one facet of the musician. With assistance from longtime musical legends in different genres, plus rising up-and-comers, the LP is a collection of songs t...

We’re just hours away from S.O.S, the long-awaited sophomore album from SZA. After the TDE singer revealed the LP’s artwork earlier this week, some eagle-eyed fans spotted similarities between it and one very memorable photo of Princess Diana. The cover art for S.O.S features a photo of SZA sitting at the edge of what appears to be a diving board off a boat, with the surrounding water taking up the entire background of the shot. The inspiration photo in question is of Diana in a similar pose, aboard the Jonikal Yacht while on a summer trip in Portofino, Italy. That photo was taken in 1997, the same year the Princess of Wales tragically died at age 36. “Originally I was supposed to be on top of a shipping barge, but in the references that I pulled for that, I pulled...
