Taylor Swift has unveiled a previously unreleased song called “You All Over Me”. Stream it now via Apple Music or Spotify. The track was originally written well over a decade ago for Swift’s 2008 breakout Fearless, but it didn’t end up making the cut for the tracklist and has been living in the superstar’s vault ever since. A demo version of the song was leaked back in 2017, but now the 11-time Grammy winner has properly re-recorded it and cleaned it up for a legitimate release. As Swift wrote on Twitter, this version of “You All Over Me” features background vocals from the country-pop star Maren Morris. “One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists,” she wrote.&nbs...
Lana Del Rey is just one day removed from the release of her seventh studio album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, and yet she’s already plotting her next move. On Saturday, the singer announced that a follow-up album called Rock Candy Sweet will be released on June 1st. It seems Del Rey is largely motivated to respond to the commentary that preceded the release of Chemtrails — most of which she brought on herself. In an Instagram Story which included a screenshot of a Harper’s Bazar article titled, “Lana Del Rey Can’t Qualify Her Way Out Of Being Held Accountable”, Del Rey wrote, “Just want to say thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse. I will continue to challenge those t...

Taylor Swift returned to the stage at the 2021 Grammy Awards on Sunday to sing moving renditions of her tracks “cardigan”, “august”, and “willow”. Watch a replay of the three-song medley below. On the heels of her excellent albums folklore and evermore, Swift delivered one of the most anticipated performances of the Grammys. She certainly did not disappoint, creating a woodland fantasy on the socially distanced stage. She began laying among the moss of what you’d assume was the forest floor, but turned out to be the slanted roof of a tiny house. Inside were Swift’s collaborators, Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, whom she joined as she went inside “august”. All three then stepped outside to end on “willow” as the makeshift grove came alive with fairy dust. Unsurprisingly, Swift ea...

King Crimson co-founder Robert Fripp and his wife Toyah Willcox are using the latest installment of their “Sunday Lunch” performance series to pay homage to Britney Spears. Last July, Japanese-British singer Rina Sawayama revealed she was ineligible to win a Mercury Prize or BRIT Award for her critically acclaimed album, SAWAYAMA, due to an archaic nationality requirement. She’d lived in the UK since she was a toddler, but because she lacked a British passport, she wasn’t up for awards consideration. Today, our former Artist of the Month revealed the eligibility rules have changed. “I’m over the moon to share the news that following a number of conversations the BPI [British Phonographic Industry] has decided to change the rules of eligibility for all nominees for the BRIT awards and Mercury Prize,” she wrote on Twitter. “Starting this year, artists (like me) will be eligible for nomination even without British citizenship. The rules have broadened to include...
HAIM and Taylor Swift have been friends for quite a while now, and they committed their friendship to wax last year when the sisters hopped on her evermore track “No Body, No Crime”. Now, they’re teaming up once again, this time with Swift putting her own spin on their Women in Music Pt. III cut “Gasoline”. As eagle-eyed fans pointed out, HAIM started teasing “Gasoline (Featuring Taylor Swift)” earlier in the week with some cryptic tweets and a TikTok video of them cranking the remix together in their car. As could be heard in that audio snippet, this new version of “Gasoline” sees Swift singing gracefully over the original version, all sweet harmonies and luscious tones. Swift had long been hot on “Gasoline” according to a statement from the sisters. “since we released wimpiii in june, ta...
