Trevor Moore, a co-founding member of The Whitest Kid U Know comedy troupe, died Friday, August 6th, after suffering an accident. He was 41 years old. “We are devastated by the loss of my husband, best friend and the father of our son,” said Moore’s wife, Aimee Carlson, in a statement. “He was known as a writer and comedian to millions, and yet to us he was simply the center of our whole world. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you please respect our privacy during this time of grieving.”” A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Moore co-founded The Whitest Kid U Know alongside Za...
Bruce Springsteen is an undoubtedly essential character in American pop culture history, and now his children are following in his footsteps… or, should we say hoofsteps? Jessica Springsteen, the second child of the Born in the USA icon and first-time Olympian, made her country proud all the way from Tokyo this week by taking home a silver medal in team equestrian jumping. To paraphrase her father: She certainly didn’t “end up like a dog that’s been beat too much.” Alongside her teammates Laura Kraut and McLain Ward, the 29-year-old Springsteen just barely trailed behind Sweden’s equestrian team; Belgium nabbed bronze in the sport. Though she failed to advance in the individual equestrian competitions earlier this year, Springsteen and her trusty horse Don Juan van de Donkhoeve were in per...
Jake Gyllenhaal has recently been selected as the face of Prada’s new fragrance, Luna Rossa Ocean. Hopefully, he’s stocking up on a few bottles, because — and we hate to be the ones to break this to you — the A-list actor is admittedly lax about his shower schedule. Not long after Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Dax Shepard, and Kristen Bell all divulged their slightly irregular bathing routines, the Brokeback Mountain star has also revealed some compromising details about his own hygiene in a new interview with Vanity Fair. “More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times,” Gyllenhaal said. “I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that. But I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also re...

For those who like initials, here’s some WTF about Louis C.K. As Deadline notes, the embattled comedian who admitted to numerous allegations of sexual misconduct has announced a massive US standup tour, spanning 50 shows in 30 cities. The trek launches next week with a two-night stand at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. It’s not clear how much say they had, but that’s at least two big brands — the streaming giant Hulu, and James Dolan, owner of MSG, the New York Knicks, and the New York Rangers — who have not objected to having their name associated with C.K. Huh! To be fair, the comedian’s transgressions are in a different category from some of the other faces of the #MeToo movement. He isn’t a convicted serial rapist like Harvey Weinstein, or an alleged pedophile like...
After being granted the right to hire her own lawyer earlier this month, Britney Spears is ramping up her efforts to end her conservatorship: On Monday, the singer’s new lawyer filed to have Spears’ father removed from the 13-year conservatorship, the New York Times reports. The petition was filed in Los Angeles probate court by Mathew S. Rosengart, a well-known Hollywood lawyer who recently took over to represent Britney in the ongoing #FreeBritney case. According to the Times, the filing also requests that Jason Rubin, a certified public accountant in California, be named the new conservator of Britney’s estate. Lil Uzi Vert’s corporeal form is once again worth more money than the average American can fathom. After removing it last month, the rapper appears to have re-implanted a $24 million diamond into his head. Fans noticed Uzi was back to sporting the diamond at Rolling Loud Miami over the weekend, along with a fresh tattoo on his tongue. Talk about rocks for brains. In February, the Philadelphia rapper first debuted the pink Elliot Eliantte diamond that he’d gotten placed right in the center of his forehead. Uzi claimed the diamond was “10 almost 11 carats,” with a spokesperson for Elliot Eliantte saying the implant was, safety-wise, comparable to more everyday body modifications. But of course, even the most standard piercings are prone to infection if not properly cared for; In June, the Et...
