In celebration of the iconic video game’s quarter-century milestone, its developers have teamed up with Capitol Records to release two new EPs dedicated to Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, releasing the former today. DJ Pikachu provides a jolt of old-school trap music right off the bat, dropping a remix of the 8-bit track that appeared on the title screen of the Pokémon Red and Blue Game Boy versions from 1996. J-pop viral sensation Pikotaro teamed up with a world-famous star on his latest track, called “PIKA to PIKO,” dropping Aug. 31. Featuring none other than Pikachu, the tune is meant to put a smile on the faces of kids and adults alike during these difficult times.
