Nigeria to begin business sample census October 12

The statistician General of the Federation, Dr. Yemi Kale, announced this on Monday while delivering a keynote address at the Training of Trainers for the National Business Sample Census (NBSC) 2020 in Abuja. Kale said the information emanating from the census activity would be primarily useful in understanding the nature and structure of the economy, as well as providing a sound business frame for the conduct of economic surveys in the country. Osun governor appoints 16 new aides
Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Thursday announced appointment of 16 new aides. A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ismail Omipidan, said an ex-lawmaker representing Obokun state constituency, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, was appointed Special Adviser to the governor on Civic Engagement. Also, a foremost banker, Mr Femi Adeniran, was appointed Special Adviser to the governor on Investment Promotion Agency. Similarly, the governor named Mr. Niyi Idowu, a seasoned public administrator, as Special Adviser, General Administration (Governor’s Office). FCTA suspends issuance of building plan approvals for Lugbe district
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has suspended the processing and issuance of building plan approvals for Lugbe and all on-going developments in the district. The Director, Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, made the disclosure in a statement issued to journalists on Sunday in Abuja. Galadima explained that the suspension had become necessary due to the ongoing harmonisation of developments in the district with the Abuja Master Plan.
