Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out a return to Santiago Bernabeu for Cristiano Ronaldo and claims to have had no contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a move for Kylian Mbappe. Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid could be kicked out of this season’s Champions League this week, according to the Danish FA chairman Jesper Moller. Moller, who is a member of UEFA’s Executive Committee, says the teams involved in the new Super League could face sanctions following Sunday’s groundbreaking announcement. It was a great weekend for PSG in Ligue 1; seeing Lille draw on Friday night, they managed to cut the gap on the league leaders to just one point. Lille could only muster up a 1-1 draw against Montpellier on Friday night and so put the chance into the hands of PSG to try and cut the gap at the top of the Ligue 1 table. It was touch and go in the game though and PSG nearly fell short and came close to getting only one point, but determination shone through and they managed to come through the game by just about beating St Etienne 3-2 thanks to a Mauro Icardi 95th minute winner.
