Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out a return to Santiago Bernabeu for Cristiano Ronaldo and claims to have had no contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a move for Kylian Mbappe. Movement in the Spanish capital is being mooted ahead of the summer transfer window, with Perez – who is famed for his ‘Galactico’ recruitment model – being re-elected to remain at the helm of the Liga giants. It has been suggested that efforts will be made to re-sign a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, with Ronaldo having left Real for Juventus as the club’s all-time leading scorer in 2018, but no bid is being lined up to land the 36-year-old Portuguese. Perez has told El Chiringuito: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not come back to Real Madrid. “It does not make sense, he has a contract with Juventus. I...
It was a great weekend for PSG in Ligue 1; seeing Lille draw on Friday night, they managed to cut the gap on the league leaders to just one point. Lille could only muster up a 1-1 draw against Montpellier on Friday night and so put the chance into the hands of PSG to try and cut the gap at the top of the Ligue 1 table. It was touch and go in the game though and PSG nearly fell short and came close to getting only one point, but determination shone through and they managed to come through the game by just about beating St Etienne 3-2 thanks to a Mauro Icardi 95th minute winner. They fell behind to a Denis Bouanga 78th minute strike, but it took them only one minute to equalise through Kylian Mbappe, and he got his second eight minutes later via a penalty to put his team 2-1 up in the game. ...
Everton striker Moise Kean has been in fine form since joining Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long last summer, and he is not short of suitors ahead of the summer transfer window. The French giants are keen on signing him permanently after he bagged 16 goals in 32 games across all competitions since arriving, while Juventus are looking to bringing him back. Kean joined Everton from the Serie A giants in the summer of 2019 on a five-year deal for an initial £25.1 million, but he struggled to make an impact. The 21-year-old played 37 times for the Toffees, starting nine times and scoring four goals before his temporary exit at the beginning of 2020-21. Kean’s form since then has attracted plenty of suitors, with Inter Milan also keen. Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti insists that the Italy i...
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has spoken out about the future of Moise Kean, suggesting he could be ‘an important player’ next season. Kean joined Everton in the summer of 2019 but failed to make an impression in his debut season. The Italian scored two goals in 33 appearances, though many of his minutes on the pitch came off the bench. Kean then joined Paris Saint-German on a season-long loan last summer, where he has flourished. The 21-year-old has 18 goals in 37 appearances, with three of his goals coming in PSG’s impressive Champions League campaign. Despite impressing with PSG, the French giants do not have an option to buy Kean as part of last summer’s deal. If they want him permanently, they will need to deal with Everton in the coming transfer window. It has been reported that the F...
On-loan Everton striker Moise Kean has spoken out on his future after Paris Saint-Germain’s clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Kean joined the Toffees back in the summer of 2019 but failed to have any impact under both Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti in his first season. The Italian was then loaned out to PSG, where he has flourished this campaign. The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 37 appearances this season – 16 goals more than he managed in 33 games at Everton. With Kean having impressed so much this term, the Italian has been linked with a permanent switch to PSG, as well as a potential return to Juventus. Now, the forward has claimed he is unsure what the future holds but knows he has a coach ‘who gives me confidence’ in Mauricio Pochettino. “Last year at Everton, I didn’t...
Paris Saint-Germain have progressed to the Champions League semi-finals for the second year in a row after beating holders Bayern Munich on away goals. The Bundesliga giants went into the second leg at the Parc des Princes needing to score at least two goals, having lost the home fixture 3-2. Both sides had chances in the opening stages. Neymar was denied three times by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, while Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich both fired wide from outside the box down the other end. Neymar, who put in a stellar performance last time out, was looking lively once again, and twice came within inches of putting PSG in front. On the first instance, he pulled out a beautiful piece of skill to beat Kingsley Coman, then curled a fantastic effort onto the crossbar. The second occasion, however, ...
