This weekend the United Kingdom is celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. Amidst all the fanfare, however, the 96-year-old monarch found some time to enjoy a cup with tea with another British institution: Paddington Bear. Naturally, the two also bonded over their love of marmalade. Watch below. Paddington 3 is Officially In Development

Hold onto your blue wool jackets and frumpy red hats while you read this news: Paddington 3 is coming. Representatives from Studiocanal have confirmed that a third entry in the beloved Paddington bear franchise is officially in development. In an interview last week with BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, the series’ star Hugh Bonneville cryptically revealed that there was “forward momentum” on the third Paddington film and that it was “somewhere on the horizon” (via Variety). British lawmakers write Commonwealth over killings in Nigeria

Thirteen members of the House of Lords, United Kingdom, have expressed concern over the killings by Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East and Fulani herdsmen in the Middle Belt region. The upper house of parliament members said the failure of the Federal Government to protect Nigerians was a breach of the Commonwealth Charter. They requested the Commonwealth to raise the killings with its Ministerial Action Group. This was contained in a letter to the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland, dated September 14, co-signed by Baroness Cox, Baroness Kennedy, Jim Shannon, Fiona Bruce, former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Williams and 14 others.
