Ross’ new four-track Convergence EP has arrived, and it is packed with a number of highly anticipated collaborations. The EP feels like a thoughtful blend of sounds on each cut, allowing each artist to capture their own spotlight. Within, listeners will find his previously released collaboration with Blanke and Chandler Leighton, “One More Day,” as well as “Wild Ones” with Nevve.  “Beneath It All” taps rising duo Cyrstal Skies as well as famed singer-songwriter Dia Frampton for a heartfelt tune that encapsulates the mood of...

Blanke and Dia Frampton Return to Ophelia Records on Heartfelt Single “Spark”

Blanke is making 2021 his year. Since January, the EDM.com Class of 2021 artist has collaborated with the likes of Jason Ross and Luma, provided a remix for Liquid Stranger, and released a drum & bass heater in “Mystery.” Now, he returns alongside Dia Frampton for a new collaborative song called “Spark” out via Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records.  Both Blanke and Frampton have a clearly defined musicality and “Spark” helps illuminate just that. The latter’s immaculate vocal performance conveys a unique type of intimacy, while the soaring synths and dynamic percussion that join her help bring that story to life. This collaboration feels incredibly natural, as their sounds are absolutely perfect for each other.  Though Blanke&...

Seven Lions Teams Up With Wooli and Amidy for Scorching New Single “Shadows”

Dark and ominous like a wave crashing amidst a storm, Seven Lions has released a new collaboration with Wooli and Amidy called “Shadows.” Following suit of his last release “Foolish Of Me,” the new single delivers a cacophony of melodic energy and deep, rumbling synths that blend with precision. The track isn’t the first time Seven Lions and Wooli have joined forces on a song, but it is the first collaboration with Amidy, and a welcome pairing that represents pure harmony. Amidy has released multiple singles on Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records, including “Fix You” as part of Ophelia Presents: Advent Volume 1 and his recent collaboration with HALIENE called “Already Home.” “Shadows” opens up wi...

Jason Ross and Nevve Connect on Heartfelt Single “Wild Ones”

Jason Ross has been unstoppable while preparing to release his upcoming EP. Late last month, he released a huge collaboration with Blanke and Chandler Leighton entitled “One More Day.” Now, he’s returned alongside Nevve for “Wild Ones,” out via Ophelia Records.  Similar to his previous release, “Wild Ones” forgoes the trance side of Ross’ sound and embraces the melodic bass aspects. Nevve’s vocals are always a welcome addition to any song and this is no exception. Her dreamy voice floats perfectly atop an array of fluttery, emotive elements. The slight pop-tinge mixed with the soaring synths and basses typically found within Jason Ross’s tracks gives “Wild Ones” an inviting edge. “Wild Ones” ...

Jason Ross and Blanke Collide on Melodic Anthem “One More Day” With Chandler Leighton

Jason Ross has established himself as a prolific multi-faceted producer, as he’s found success with both his trance singles as well as his melodic bass tunes. Today, the Ophelia Records mainstay has tapped EDM.com Class of 2021 inductee Blanke for their collaborative effort “One More Day” with Chandler Leighton.  The natural synergy of Ross and Blanke’s sounds is apparent throughout the entirety of “One More Day.” Opening with Leighton’s signature airy vocals, an emotive, synth-laden drop soon takes center stage. Shortly after comes a second build-up, where rumbling basses flip the entire track on its head.  The mesmeric ebb and flow of “One More Day” speaks to the main theme of the song, which revolves aro...

MitiS has been delivering the best music of his career as of late. In January, he released “Try” with RØRY, followed by “Homesick” with SOUNDR in March. For the latest single from his upcoming album, the Pennsylvania-born producer returns with Zack Gray on their new collaborative single “Hurt,” out via Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records.  “Hurt” is yet another melancholic release from MitiS, as he continues to tap into the emotions of his listeners. This time around he’s taken a different approach, allowing Zack Gray to take the lead while his production provides support with subtle piano chords and echoey percussion. MitiS then seizes the reins at the drop, as a powerful wave of emotive synths takes center...

Xavi Showcases Emotive Touch on Debut Album, “To The Endless Searing Skies”

His sound is often compared to the likes of Madeon and Porter Robinson, as the St. Louis native’s music mirrors similar emotive sound design. Today his debut album To The Endless Searing Skies has arrived via Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records.  To The Endless Searing Skies encapsulates every aspect of Xavi’s sound, allowing the budding producer to be wholly himself through the entirety of the LP. “By getting to use my own voice on this, I’ve been able to say so much, not only through my words but also through my instrumentation,” he said. Wooli Returns to Ophelia Records With New Single “The Core”

It’s been over a year since the master bass music producer Wooli dropped a track on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records, but that streak ends now. Enter “The Core,” an absolute behemoth of a track that combines hardstyle stylings with riddim, dubstep, and psytrance. Ophelia has been on a roll with releasing heavier tracks on the label, which has traditionally leaned more melodic.  Those who were lucky enough to attend Wooli’s headline performance at Insomniac‘s Park ‘N Rave will recognize the single. The track is filled to the brim with massive hardstyle kicks that will induce major neck pain if you aren’t careful. The arpeggiating synths create an interesting listening experience in between the chaos of the production. Wooli has...

MitiS has solidified himself as a mainstay on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records. The Pennsylvania-born artist has found himself releasing numerous records on the imprint, including his All I Have and Shattered EPs. Today, he returns to Ophelia with “Homesick” in collaboration with SOUNDR. “Homesick” encapsulates MitiS’ signature sound, hitting listeners with waves of deep, textured bass and soaring synths. SOUNDR’s passionate vocals add greater depth to the melancholic tune, as she croons about the struggle of maintaining a long-distance relationship and trying to remain hopeful. Their collaboration does an excellent job at pulling on heartstrings, as every second of the five and a half minute tune inspires more confidence. Although MitiS...

Wooli Previews Massive Upcoming Ophelia Records Release

Earlier in the month of January, Wooli treated fans to a teaser of an unreleased melodic bass hybrid. In case that wasn’t enough, over the weekend, he revealed another new track. On Twitter, Wooli shared a video of the new song being played at a recent drive-in event. Furthermore, in a reply to the preview, he noted that the ID would find its home on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records. Laced with hardstyle kicks, the stomping tune veers away from the melodic side of the bass spectrum and lands firmly in the neck-breaking range. Considering his first teaser of the month highlighted his melodic side and the second focused on the heavy, the pair represents the perfect example of the versatility fans have come to expect from Rochester producer and DJ. While no specific release date ...

Xavi Shines on Pensive Single from Debut Album, “Neverless”

Xavi has been sensational since first releasing music in 2016, garnering support from the likes of Madeon, Porter Robinson, and San Holo in just a few short years. A slow, ambient intro carefully leads listeners into a barrage of distorted trills, blissful stabs, and expertly timed breaks. The second drop is a stark shift in energy, transforming the overall tranquility into an elec...
