Joining a lineup featuring Pearl Jam, Alanis Morissette, Garbage, IDLES, Crowded House, and more. Sting Joins The Ohana Fest 2024 Lineup in Place of Neil Young + Crazy Horse Scoop Harrison
Eddie Vedder joined Stevie Nicks on stage during her headlining set at Vedder’s 2022 Ohana Festival for a performance of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” from Nicks’ first solo album Bella Donna, was famously recorded as a duet between the Fleetwood Mac singer and Tom Petty. Here, Vedder filled in for the late Petty, and Nicks implied before the performance that she and Vedder had even recorded an official version of their rendition. Nicks was the first headliner at Vedder’s annual Dana Point, California festival, which continues through October 2nd. Vedder and Jack White co-headline tonight, October 1st, while P!nk closes the event on the 2nd. Other artists still slated to perform include Manchester Orchestra, St. Vincent, Grouplove, Broken Social Sce...

After King of Leon were forced to cancel their headlining set at Ohana Festival due to the death of the Followill brothers’ mother, the festival’s founder, Eddie Vedder, stepped in as a last-minute replacement. Joined by a backing band that included Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, ex-Chili Peppers guitarist/current Pearl Jam touring member Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Pino Palladino, Glen Hansard, and Andrew Watt, Vedder performed an 11-song set that leaned heavily on covers and some Pearl Jam staples. After kicking off the set with performances of R.E.M.’s “Drive” and Pearl Jam’s “Long Road,” Vedder offered his condolences by playing KOL’s 2003 track “Molly’s Chambers.” He then offered the first public performance of his new solo single “Long Way,” and was joined by his 17-year-old...
Eddie Vedder‘s fifth annual music extravaganza Ohana Festival can’t be contained in just one weekend. In addition to the previously announced event scheduled for September 24th-26th, the Pearl Jam frontman has just announced Ohana Encore, a bonus festival that will return to Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California for October 1st-2nd. It marks the band’s only additional concert dates for 2021, and perhaps their only gigs for a while considering Pearl Jam’s own Jeff Ament isn’t comfortable playing indoor shows or “checking vaccination cards” for fans just yet. The bill for Friday, October 1st includes Beck, Lord Huron, and White Reaper in the upper...
