HipHopWired Featured Video Source: REED SAXON / Getty Welp, it looks like O.J. Simpson, the man whose legendary NFL career has been thoroughly eclipsed by the controversy over the double murder rap he beat in 1995, is once again a free man. The Juice is fully loose now that his parole following a 2008 armed robbery conviction has ended just a couple of months early. Simpson’s attorney Malcolm LaVergne told the Associated Press that the 74-year-old “is a completely free man now” that his parole—which he’d been serving since October 1, 2017, after serving nine years in prison—had officially ended despite the fact that it was set to end on February 9, 2022. Kanye West Hires Bill Cosby’s Lawyer to Work on Larry Hoover Case

In his bid to free Larry Hoover from prison, Kanye West has enlisted the services of Bill Cosby’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean. “We’re putting together a new team for [Hoover]… it’s much like in the footsteps of my father-in-law, Robert Kardashian,” Kanye explained during the second part of his interview with Drink Champs, which aired on Thursday night. “We got the lawyer that just got Cosby out.” Hoover, co-founder of the Chicago street gang Gangster Disciples, is currently serving six life sentences after being found guilty of murder, conspiracy, extortion, money laundering, and other criminal activities. Simpson, who was previously seen partying without a mask, got his shot in Las Vegas on Friday. He was photographed wearing a mask that said, “The Juice” (of course), which he subsequently posted to Twitter. In an accompanying caption, Simpson wrote, “Get your shot. I got mine!!!” Simpson’s lawyer told the New York Post that his client was eligible to receive the vaccine due to his advanced age (he’s 73). “If you’re 70-plus, you’re eligible for the shot — you can schedule your shot and they’ll do it,” Malcolm P. LaVergne said. “There’s no favoritism with him being a celebrity — that has nothing to do with his getting the shot.” As for w...

O.J. Simpson Parties in Vegas Without a Face Mask

O.J. Simpson, photo via TMZ For O.J. Simpson, the glove doesn’t fit… nor does the face mask. As TMZ reports, the If I Did It author was spotted partying it up in Las Vegas this past week. There was little in the way of social distancing, and only a few of the party’s attendees could be seen wearing facial coverings (Simpson was not among them). The Juice further flaunted CDC guidelines by exchanging hugs and other human-to-human contact with fellow guests. Nevada has seen an uptick in coronavirus cases in the last week; this past Friday alone resulted in 1,004 new cases, the second-biggest daily increase in the state since the outbreak began. At 74 years old and with a history of health problems, Simpsons is in a higher-risk category for coronavirus. Editor’s Note: Stay...
