NYPD Rookie Cop Under Investigation For Giving Her Lieutenant A Lap Dance

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: WENN.com / WENN Everyone knows that things tend to get out of hand whenever the holiday Christmas party goes down and someone ends up doing something (or someone) they regret the next morning. But now an NYPD rookie is being held accountable for getting a bit too freaky at the precinct’s holiday soiree. The New York Post is reporting that a female rookie police officer has found herself under investigation for giving her lieutenant an off the cuff lap dance during the Christmas bash. Unfortunately for her, the wild moment was caught on camera (of course) and made its way to the higher-ups who were infuriated such behavior was on display in front of everyone. “The newbie female cop is seen in the seamy footage wearing a checkered black-and-white miniskirt,...

Black Activist Files Lawsuit Accusing NYPD Of Swarming His Home In Riot Gear & Lying About Warrant

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Ira L. Black – Corbis / Getty If the wave of protests against systemic racism in policing that took place during the summer of 2020 taught us anything it’s that cops really hate when we protest against them. But one thing they love, apparently, is explicitly demonstrating the exact reasons they get protested against. On June 14, 2020, Derrick Ingram, co-founder of the nonviolent activist group Warriors In The Garden, was involved in a protest in Manhattan, New York. During the protest, an NYPD officer attempted to prevent Ingram from crossing a police line resulting in an alleged struggle. In a statement to CNN, NYPD spokeswoman Sgt. Jessica McRorie said Ingram allegedly “placed a handheld megaphone directly against the officer’s ear, activated the megaph...

FBI Raids Home & Office of MAGA NYPD Union Chief, The Op Resigns

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Pacific Press / Getty This isn’t Donald Trump’s FBI, that’s for sure. On Tuesday (Oct. 5), the Federal Bureau of Investigation took everyone off guard when it was being reported that they raided the home of a very senior NYPD Union Chief, Ed Mullins. Though no details were given at the time, it’s possible that Mullins was participating in mail and wire fraud, which caused the FBI to put their eye on his alleged shenanigans. According to NYMag, Mullins has since resigned from his post as the Sergeants Benevolent Association president as it seems he may in fact be in some deep doo-doo. Agents who conducted the raid were seen making off with Mullin’s computer gear and boxes of documents possibly pertaining to his criminal activity. This is the same man who h...

Three NYPD Officers Including KKK-Loving Retired Cop Arrested For Corruption

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Taras Smishchuk / Getty An “unabashedly racist” retired New York police officer and his two associates, who are currently on the force, face serious federal charges for numerous illegal activities and scams.  It’s something out of a typical drama show about corrupt cops, but this time it’s real life.  Gothamist reports that veteran cop Robert Smith, 44, orchestrated a scheme involving current NYPD officers Heather Busch, 34, and Robert Hassett, 36 — all from the 105th Precinct in Queens– that prosecutors say involved a lucrative illegal drug and bribery rings dating as far back as 2016. All three officers took thousands of dollars in kickbacks for directing vehicles wrecked in accidents to a specific tow-trucking company and picked up their earn...

New York AG Letitia James Files Lawsuit Against NYPD Over Mishandling Of BLM Protests

The landmark lawsuit takes particular aim at the NYPD‘s handling of protests in the wake of the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and others in the past year with hopes of reform among the police ranks. As outlined in a press release from James’ office on Thursday (Jan. 14), the lawsuit seeks to put the NYPD and its top officials on notice for the overuse of force during peaceful protests and also eradicating false arrests against residents who gather in demonstrations. From the press release: The lawsuit specifically charges the NYPD, the City of New York, Mayo...

Shades of Charlottesville?: Driver Filmed Plowing Into Black Lives Matter Protesters In Times Square

Source: Anadolu Agency / Getty We can’t even protest without having to worry about losing our lives. During a protest against police brutality, a black Ford Taurus was recorded ramming into a crowd of protestors in Times Square Thursday night (Sept.3). The disturbing video, which is continuing to make its rounds on social media after it was dropped last night, shows the vehicle purposely ramming into protesters near Times Square pedestrian plaza. The clip shows the driver accelerating smashing into cyclists who attempted to block the road. In the aftermath, a trail of bikes and injured protesters can be seen on the floor as the car sped east on 46th Street. One of the victims of the ramming, Lora Gettelfinger, a 33-year-old protester, said she was hit on the leg and said, “I’m in shock. I’...

Data Shows NYPD Targeting People Of Color With Alcohol Summonses

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Restaurants and bars are still limited in the option of hosting patrons inside thus outside has become the new social playground. Even in this era of inconvenience, the law is making it clear that Black and Brown folks are still the hunted. As spotted on The Gothamist a new report is showing that people of color are getting ticketed for public alcohol consumption in New York City at a staggering rate. Even more alarming, but shouldn’t come to anyone at as a surprise, is that Blacks and Hispanics are being disproportionately fined. Since January 2020 1,250 locals have been hit with summonses for boozing outside but Blacks and Hispanics make up almost 90% of the offenders. Only 7% were whites. Obliviously the numbers skewed against us prompting the heavy side ey...

NYPD Issues Statement Regarding Cops Throwing Protester In Unmarked Van [Video]

Source: Ira L. Black – Corbis / Getty Even though relations between the law and the community continue to be tense, a squad from The Big Apple has figured out how to drop the ball big time. A set of badges were caught on tape doing the most. As spotted on Raw Story, NYPD’s finest were spotted using some very questionable and downright authoritarian tactics on Tuesday, July 28. In the brief clip four plain-clothed officers are seen trying to restrain an 18-year protester in lower Manhattan and then proceed to throw her in an unmarked KIA model van. The captive has been identified as a transgender woman named Nicki Stone. Luckily there were others on the scene that captured the footage. “Suddenly there was an unmarked grey van that moved out in front of us that had been waiting for us,”...

272 NYPD Officers File For Retirement After Black Lives Matter Protests

Source: Noam Galai / Getty It’s beginning to look like the whole “To Protects and Serve” motto of police departments across America is more of a self-serving phrase for their egos than a proverb meant to reassure Americans of their tax-paying responsibilities. A few weeks after 170 Atlanta police officers called in sick in response to their brothers in blue being charged in the death of Rayshard Brooks, The New York Post is reporting that members of the NYPD have staged a similar “protest” in response to the anti-police brutality demonstrations that have taken place in the wake of the murder of George Floyd. According to the report a whopping 272 uniformed police officers in New York City have filed for retirement from May 25th through June 24th compared to the 183 officers who filed their...

We Knew It: NYPD Made Up The Whole Shake Shack “Poisoning” Story, Allegedly

Source: Noam Galai / Getty We called it as soon as it went down. A week after some NYPD officers were claiming that they were “poisoned” by way of milkshakes at a Shake Shack in New York City, the New York Post is reporting that not only did the officers involved make up the entire story, but that the lieutenant for the Bronx officers took things a step further by sending an email to the police unions saying the officers were throwing up because of the laced shakes. They did no such thing. Things seemed simple enough with police officers from the Boogie Down seemingly unhappy with the taste of their drinks complaining to the manager and getting free meals in return, but things went really south when they told the story to a superior. Soon after sipping the shakes, however, the cops realize...
