If you’re worried about the future of Twitter under the guidance of soon-to-be-former CEO Elon Musk, worry no more! Fred Durst and his merry band of Limp Bizkit mates are here to save the day. The nu-metal frontman has offered his services to the multibillionaire mogul in the form of a … tweet. It’s been a rough go of it in the two months since Musk closed the deal on the purchasing Twitter for $44 billion. Under his guidance, the company has laid off half its staff, instituted an $8-per-month blue verification check mark, and banned some journalists from the platform, among other lowlights. Most recently, he promised to step down as CEO as soon as he finds “someone foolish enough to take the job.” But never fear, y’all! Durst and company are ready to do their part to turn it all around. “...
Welcome to Dissected, where we disassemble a band’s catalog, based on the exact science of personal opinion, late night debates, and the love of music. This time, we follow Slipknot’s career, from their 1996 full-length demo, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat., to their most recent effort, 2022’s THE END, SO FAR. Slipknot are one of the biggest bands of the 21st century. From their theatrical presentation to the brutality of their music, it didn’t take long for the band to capture the ears and hearts of listeners around the globe. Since the release of their 1999 self-titled album, the masked marauders have continued to push their creative muscles to the test, expanding upon their brand of heaviness. From the visceral cuts off of 2001’s Iowa, to the somber atmosphere off of 2008’s All Hope Is G...

Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox keep the fun going with a cover of Limp Bizkit’s “Nookie” in the latest edition of their “Sunday Lunch” series. The King Crimson guitarist and his singer wife are perhaps honoring Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, who celebrated his 52nd birthday on Saturday (August 20th), or else they’re just being their usual frisky selves with the risqué performance. Toyah is wearing a sheer blouse with black pasties, while Robert is sporting a shimmery sideways baseball cap as they deliver the nu-metal anthem. Behind them, a sign on their kitchen cabinet reads “Fripp = Nookie.” Advertisement Related Video The couple’s recent “Sunday Lunch” performances have included Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train,” AC/DC’s “Back in Black,” Slipknot’s “Psychosocial,” Rammstein’s&nbs...
Korn and Evanescence kicked off their co-headlining US tour on Tuesday night (August 16th) in Denver. Among the highlights was Evanescence singer Amy Lee joining Korn onstage for their set-closing performance of “Freak on a Leash.” The month-long outing continues through a September 16th show in Ridgefield, Washington, with tickets available via Ticketmaster. After an opening set by Jeris Johnson, Evanescence took the stage next, playing a 15-song show that included six songs from their most recent album, 2021’s The Bitter Truth, alongside older favorites like “Going Under,” “Bring Me to Life,” and “My Immortal.” Advertisement Related Video Korn closed out the night with a 16-song set that only featured two songs from their latest album, 2022’s Requiem. In fact, the nu-metal pioneers sprea...
Limp Bizkit have postponed their upcoming UK/European tour due to frontman Fred Durst’s “personal health concerns.” The unfortunate news came via a statement released by Limp Bizkit, as well as an additional video message from Durst. The singer explained that his doctor advised him to cease touring activities following results from a medical examination. Said Durst in his video message [as transcribed by Blabbermouth]: “In preparation for the 2022 summer tour in U.K. and Europe, I have decided to do some tests to make sure I’m in good physical condition and everything’s okay. And to my surprise, my doctor has decided to send me a letter telling me he would not like me to tour at this time and to stay close by to do some more tests. And that being said, this was very unexpected news and I’m...
Limp Bizkit have embraced crowd participation during their ongoing “Still Sucks” tour, and most recently invited a kid onstage to perform “Break Stuff.” It went down at the band’s Sunday night (May 22nd) show in Green Bay, Wisconsin. During the closing moments of the gig — an SNL-style full-crew send off — Fred Durst halted the festivities for an impromptu performance of “Break Stuff” featuring a tiny special guest. “I promised this young man a little favor,” Durst said, pointing to a boy on the stage. With mics in hand, the two proceeded to bust into a raucous rendition of the song. Advertisement Related Video The kid was clearly familiar with the track, matching Durst rhyme for rhyme. The audience went berserk as they were given the ultimate encore banger. It wasn’t the first time Limp B...
Limp Bizkit are fully embracing middle age in the just-released music video for their 2021 comeback single “Dad Vibes.” In the TikTok-inspired clip, Fred Durst and company show off their dancing “dad” moves with a carefree attitude. While the song has officially been out since September, the music video times nicely with Limp Bizkit’s upcoming “Still Sucks” Spring US tour, which kicks off on April 28th in Tampa, Florida, and runs through a May 31st show in Ontario, California. Tickets for the outing are available here. In the clip, Durst once again shows off his new “dad” look, sporting a gray wig, a horseshoe mustache, and clothes straight off the racks of Sears. Meanwhile, guitarist Wes Borland is dressed as a priest (with a surprise outfit reveal toward the end); bassist Sam Rivers is s...
A tour bus on the current US outing featuring headliners Korn and support acts Chevelle and Code Orange was reportedly hit by gunfire overnight in Davenport, Iowa, where it was parked outside a hotel. Thankfully, no one was hurt, as the bus was empty at the time, but the single bullet penetrated the outside wall of the bus and was found inside the cabin. The tour is set to make a stop at Moline, Illinois, tonight (March 25th), following a show two nights ago in Saginaw, Michigan. Last night was an off night, and it appears the bands and the crews made a pitstop at a Davenport hotel. As TMZ reports, the Davenport Police Department received a call Friday morning that one of the busses was hit with a single bullet. TMZ could not confirm which band’s bus was hit by the bullet. Heavy Consequenc...
