Nitti Gritti and SAYMYNAME Join Forces As SAYMYNITTI With Blistering Single, “BING BONG!”

In an unsuspecting surprise, Nitti Gritti and SAYMYNAME have launched a brand new collaborative alias. Aptly titled SAYMYNITTI, the duo kicked off with a blistering single called “BING BONG!” out via HARD Recs. In an electrifying fusion of both Nitti Gritti’s and SAYMYNAME’s skillsets, the track sees both artist’s signature sounds hard at work. A four-on-the-floor beat serves as its foundation, where they’ve allowed an unmistakable TikTok sample to run wild. After giving listeners a taste of bass house, the duo blindside them with an unrelenting hard trap drop—a signature quality of SAYMYNAME. “We’ve been working on this project behind the scenes for a while, and I’m so stoked to finally release ‘Bing Bong’ and debut the SAYMYN...

SIDEPIECE Link Up With Lee Foss to Reimagine Ciara’s 2004 Hit, “1, 2 Step”

Grammy-nominated house music tandem SIDEPIECE (Party Favor and Nitti Gritti) have joined forces with Repopulate Mars label boss Lee Foss for their first-ever collaboration. Out now via Insomniac Records, “1, 2 Step” is a surefire dancefloor filler that samples Ciara’s 2004 classic of the same name, which features Missy Elliott. SIDEPIECE and Foss previewed the track at EDC Las Vegas last month. And it goes without saying that it went off: Having collectively remixed the likes of Lana Del Rey, Rudimental, Calvin Harris and many more, SIDEPIECE and Foss are quite the team. They initially met last year, when the latter was impressed after the former rinsed an early demo of the record at Audiotistic San Diego. They then decided to rework “1, 2 Step&#...

After teasing the track for almost a year, house music duo SIDEPIECE have finally dropped “Sextacy.” The tandem teased the highly anticipated single for months at festivals like EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, and Countdown NYE, and on popular radio shows. The song has already received support from Don Diablo, EDX and CID, among other dance music stars. Booming horns give an additional flare to this groovy tune, which is out now by way of Parlophone’s FFRR Records. Take a listen below. Hydraulix Drops Genre-Bending, 20-Track Debut Album “Imposter Syndrome”

After years of releasing some of the most heavily supported tracks among the DJ community, Australian trap music virtuoso Hydraulix has finally dropped the curtain on his debut album, the 20-track Imposter Syndrome LP. Long revered for his approach to bass music production—in which he creates wonky trap music with a booty-shaking twist—Hydraulix looked inward to develop his debut album, the result of struggle with lockdown-induced insecurity. While largely rooted in the mind-bending bass spectrum of its label, Wakaan, the album enters pensive territory at times, dabbling in future bass and hip-hop. “GOAT” and “System Malfunction” are two undeniable Imposter Syndrome standouts in an album of many. The former, which features gritty bars f...

“Patience and Persistence”: Nitti Gritti Opens Up About Motivation and How Growing Up in Haiti Shaped His Music

Miami-based DJ Nitti Gritti is a jack of all trades, and a master of them all. Since his first releases in 2016, he has flawlessly produced genres across the board from hip-hop and trap to house, bass, and even rock. With one Latin Grammy Award win and one Grammy nod under his belt, Nitti Gritti launched his duo SIDEPIECE in 2019 with Party Favor, which quickly exploded in popularity. If there’s one thing that’s true about the producer, it’s that he’s always remained at the forefront of the scene. At HARD Summer 2021, his back-to-back set with Wuki delivered his signature high-octane punch. Dressed in corresponding animal print, the pair threw down an immaculate set at the Harder Stage. In addition to pyrotechnics shooting from the stage, clever transition...

Valentino Khan and Nitti Gritti Join Forces for Bass House Single “Your Body”

Prolific DJs and producers Valentino Khan and Nitti Gritti have joined forces for a boisterous new bass house single called “Your Body,” out on Spinnin Records. The pair took to Instagram to share a hilarious homemade music video showcasing how to take care of your body “like a DJ.”  “Take care of your bodies or we’ll take care of it for you,” Khan facetiously stated. “Your Body” is made for the club with its thumping bass, rowdy synth stabs and siren sound effects. Just as the lyrics state, this highly danceable tune will undoubtedly have shufflers “moving their bodies” and “working it” on the dance floor. This tune is a surefire crowd-pleaser. Pay heed to the duo’s fitness advice at your own risk, and find “Your Body” on streaming platforms now. MUSIC RE...

Marshmello’s New Album is Bangers Galore—Listen to “Shockwave” Now

After months of teasing, Marshmello has finally released Shockwave, a 12-track masterstroke channeling the producer’s long-lost electronic roots. The record kicks off with the spellbinding “Fairytale,” a brooding beat that eventually culminates in a thick melodic trap drop with booming hip-hop 808s. The tongue-in-cheek “Supernovacane” follows, in which the polarizing producer tips his helmet to his haters with a flippant vocal intro. “Marshmello is the most overrated electronic music artist by the way, ever to exist, of all-time,” whines an uncredited blowhard. “It’s so mediocre. To have it become so popular makes no sense.” One of the album’s most anticipated cuts, “Jiggle It,” delivers thank...

Listen to Marshmello, Megan Thee Stallion and Nitti Gritti’s House Banger “Bad Bitches”

It’s shaping up to be another meteoric month for Marshmello after the masked producer dropped his second high-profile collaborative track in less than a week.  Following up on “Hitta” alongside Eptic and Juicy J, Mello has now joined forces with Nitti Gritti and Megan Thee Stallion for a club-ready collaboration called “Bad Bitches,” which will appear on his upcoming Shockwave LP. Seeing these three artists in the title, we didn’t necessarily expect house to be the genre of choice, but Marshmello is is known to keep his fans on their toes. Similar to his production efforts on the ferocious “Hitta,” his latest single harkens back to the superstar producer’s dance music roots, albeit in a much different capacity. The t...

Hydraulix and Nitti Gritti Drop Roaring New Single “Waratah” on Wakaan

Fresh off his remix of Liquid Stranger’s “Psychonaut,” Hydraulix has dropped his second single for 2021. Teaming up with Latin Grammy Award-winning producer Nitti Gritti, the roaring “Waratah” has arrived on Wakaan. Hydraulix and Nitti Gritti mark their inaugural collaboration with a screaming, trappy new single that doesn’t shy away from experimentation. The wonky, metallic screeches resonate throughout the main sections, after a dreamlike buildup calls to mind a broken music box to build the energy. That dissonant sentiment is mirrored at the drop, with an enticing melody and plenty of reverb to go around. Strong attention to detail in the percussion steals the show, however, and as the track pushes on, it’s clear why Hydraulix and Nitti Gritti h...
