HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Nike / Tom Sachs The June release of Tom Sachs NikeCraft “General Purpose Shoe” caught many people sleeping on the drop as the kicks not only sold out but resell for a pretty penny. Well, now heads will be getting a second chance at copping a pair as HypeBeast is reporting the sleeper of 2022 will be restocking later this summer. Taking to his Instagram stories to reveal the sneakers will once again be publicly available on August 5th, Tom Sachs wrote that “the General Purpose Shoe is designed to be a perennial. It will be restocked and accessible again.” Maybe these will get the “Panda” Dunks treatment and restock once every few weeks on the Nike app or something. Sure, that’ll hurt resale value going forward, but that doesn’t matter to anyone who actual...
HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Nike / Dunk Low Jackie Robinson SNKRS is a crappy partner that we just keep on forgiving. The Nike Dunk Low Jackie Robinson slid onto the app, and, of course, nobody “GOT EM.” Sneakerheads Swung & Miss While Trying To Cop The Nike Dunk Low “Jackie Robinson” Did you get em? Of course, you didn’t. Tuesday (Jul.19), ahead of the MLB All-Star game, Nike dropped another pair of crispy Dunk Lows, this pair paying homage to late but forever great color barrier-breaking Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson. While the sneakers would make a great buy for baseball fans, lovers of sports history, and Jackie Robinson, we all know not many care about the sneaker’s symbolism. Instead, they will end up in the hands of resellers who will just throw up on GOAT, and sket...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bellocqimages/Bauer-Griffin / Getty A few months ago we reported that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were surprisingly working on a new film centered around Nike’s pursuit of Michael Jordan and while we haven’t gotten word on who’ll be playing his Airness, some casting news is afoot. Deadline is reporting that Joel Gretsch and Gustaf Skarsgård are the latest additions to Affleck’s as-yet-untitled Nike film. Joel Gretsch has been featured in films like The Legend of Bagger Vance and Glass House: The Good Mother while Gustaf Skarsgård has been seen in shows like Vikings and Westworld. In other words, we don’t know them like that, but apparently Ben Affleck feels like they’ll be good additions to his upcoming film as Gretsch will play former Converse CEO Jo...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Jordan Brand / Jordan Brand Given the way that sneakerheads flooded Travis Scott’s website with bots upon the release of his latest Nike collaboration, we feel it’s pretty safe to say he’s un-canceled. Now the “Highest In The Room” rapper is taking another step in his road to redemption and has announced that he’s going to be donating the proceeds from his latest Nike collaboration to Project HEAL. TMZ is reporting that the money made from the merchandise moved by his Nike collaboration will ultimately make it’s way to the nonprofit organization that is focused on equitable treatment access for eating disorders. HipHopWired Featured Video Source: SNKRS / NIkesne Scoring a pair of Travis Scott Nikes at retail is like hitting the lotto. The Houston rapper had a raffle for the privilege to cop a pair of his latest collab with the Swoosh brand, and it received over 1 million entries in just 30 minutes. This is according to TMZ, that reports the Travis Scott Air Trainer 1 x CACT.US CORP, in two colorways (“Grey Haze and Dusty Sage” and “Archaeo Brown and Rust Pink”), had his fans, and resellers, going nuts.
