It seems that Las Vegas’ newest nightclubs have made quite the splash to land electronic music’s elite talent. Following the news of Zouk Group’s high-profile signings of Tiësto and Zedd for multi-year residencies, a local news outlet has claimed that the company will shell out lavish booking fees for each DJ set performed by the iconic dance music artists. According to Las Vegas Locally, Tiësto and Zedd will cash in $250,000 for each set performed to fulfill their new residencies with Resorts World Las Vegas and Zouk Group. Miami’s Iconic LIV Nightclub Is Reopening This Weekend With Alesso and The Martinez Brothers

After a devastating year for live music venues, one of Miami’s most popular nightclubs is reopening with a few familiar faces. LIV Nightclub—located in Miami’s iconic Fontainebleau hotel—has invited dance music superstars Alesso and The Martinez Brothers to ring in its long-awaited return, which is going down this Friday, April 16th. Alesso is primed for a triumphant performance that night and The Martinez Brothers will follow suit on Saturday before the club ties a bow on its three-night run on Sunday. Long-time Daft Punk collaborator Cédric Hervet and his cousin, Nicolas Hervet, were enlisted to overhaul the interior of Hong Kong’s Cassio nightclub.  For 15 years, Cédric acted as Daft Punk’s creative director. England and Wales Push for Women’s Safety via Police Patrols in Nightclubs

A new plan proposed by the British government seeks to station uniformed and plainclothes police officers within bars and nightlife venues in England and Wales. The plan was introduced as a means of protecting women from harassment and abuse at the hands of predatory offenders. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a “series of steps” being taken to improve safety measures for women after a proposal for a national registry of stalkers was rejected by the House of Lords, The Guardian reports.  The proposal, Project Vigilant, includes an additional £45 million that will go toward the “Safer Streets” fund to improve CCTV and lighting in neighborhoods. This week at the Melbourne venue Yah Yah’s, Simona Castricum, a renowned DJ and transgender woman, was booted from the club’s restroom after being accosted by security. “A male security guard stood in the doorway of the women’s bathroom and pointed at me and yelled at me quite aggressively ‘out of the bathroom,’” she recounted in a statement to The Age. “I said, ‘I’m a woman, I’m a trans woman.'” Despite Castricum’s response, the security guard continued to yell until another woman came to the musician’s aid. ‘Pretty Mike’ arrested over Cubana Club’s coronavirus violation

The police in Lagos have arrested a socialite and Instagram celebrity, Mike Eze, aka Pretty Mike, for allegedly facilitating operations at Cubana Nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos State. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while parading 172 persons arrested for flouting COVID-19 protocols after a raid on the nightclub, had called for the arrest of the owner. According to Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, Pretty Mike’s, who was a consultant for the club, allegedly facilitated its operations on the day the police raided. Fashion designer Alexander Wang is facing accusations of sexual assault, prompted by claims from Owen Mooney, a male model who, in early December, shared an encounter on TikTok that he’d had with Wang in 2017 at a nightclub. In the video, Mooney said: “I was by myself at one point, and this guy next to me obviously took advantage of the fact that no one could fucking move, and he just started touching me up, like, fully up to my leg, in my crotch.
