President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with his government as everything is being put in place to tackle headlong the insecurity in the polity. The Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Prof. Benedict Oramah on his re-appointment as President, African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) for a second term in office. Governor Wike slams NGF as toothless bulldog

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike on Monday slammed the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for not standing up for embattled Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki. He said the NGF had become a toothless bulldog as it has lost focus on its role in defending the rule of law. Wike said the Forum used to be non-partisan and a powerful voice on national issues. Coroner reveals what killed Twilight actor, Nigerian girlfriend

A coroner has revealed that an overdose of cocaine killed Twilight actor Boyce Gregory and his Nigerian girlfriend, Natalie Adepoju. The 30-year-old actor was found dead at his Las Vegas home alongside his girlfriend Natalie Adepoju on May 13. They were reportedly found by the actor’s cousin, who was also staying in the home at the time. After arriving at the scene, officers are said to have found a white ‘powdery substance’ inside the room. According to Clark County coroner, John Fudenberg, the duo died from an ”accidental” overdose of cocaine and fentanyl intoxication. Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media platforms to mourn the death of Music Legend, Majekodunmi Fasheke, a.k.a Majek Fashek. Nigerian government receives coaches, locomotives for Lagos-Ibadan, Abuja-Kaduna railways

The Federal Government on Monday announced that it had received some coaches and locomotives to be deployed on key rail lines in Nigeria. It said the coaches were the last set which were ordered in March. It was also gathered that the locomotives and coaches, which arrived Nigeria from China, would be deployed once operations begin. Nigeria to spend N46.44 trillion for recruitment of 774,000 Nigerians

The Federal Government is set to pay a total of N46,440,000,000 to 774,000 young Nigerians who will be employed for three months under the Special Public Works programme.
