The House of Representatives has stressed the need for speedy production of local vaccines for the treatment of COVID-19 in Nigeria. Nigeria records 338 new coronavirus cases, total now 5,959

Nigeria has recorded 338 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 5,959. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on Sunday. Newsmen report that six patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the last 24 hours in Nigeria. Data obtained from the NCDC’s website showed that there are no fewer than 4,183 active cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria. ExxonMobil presents ambulances, other items to support coronavirus response

Plateau counter NCDC on number of coronavirus cases

Plateau State government has refuted a claim by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, that the State has five additional cases of COVID-19 disease as at Friday, the 15th saying it was only new case that was recorded as the remaining four were repeated cases which were mistaken for fresh ones. 33-year-old coronavirus patient gives birth Lagos

A 33-year-old coronavirus patient has been delivered of a baby boy at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba. This was contained in a statement on Friday by LUTH Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Prof Wasiu Adeyemo. He assured that both mother and son were doing well. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has now exceeded 5,000 on Thursday night. The House of Representatives has resolved to come to the rescue of Benue State’s coronavirus index case, Susan Idoko, who has accused the government of refusing to release her from isolation despite “not” being infected with the disease. The action of the House followed the unanimous adoption of a motion moved by a member, Blessing Onuh, at plenary on Tuesday. Kwara records 10 fresh cases of coronavirus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says 10 more people have tested positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kwara. This brings the total of confirmed cases of Coronavirus to 44, with nine patients discharged and one death recorded in the state. The State before now has 34 cases of the disease.
