After reuniting for the first time in years last December, My Chemical Romance planned to spend 2020 with a big reunion tour. However as the global pandemic started to grow, MCR, like other acts, had to postpone it. And while fans all over the world are sad over that fact, Mikey Way has some reassuring words about their comeback. “I know fans have been waiting a long time, but it’ll all still be here when this is all over,” he told BBC’s Radio 1 Newsbeat. Way also added, “Live music isn’t going anywhere, it’s just on pause for everybody.” The My Chemical Romance guitarist wasn’t really happy at first that they, along with everyone else, would need to halt their 2020 plans and he admitted that he’s “trying to take myself out of a selfish place.” But Way also sees something positiv...
Source: Justin Sullivan / Getty After decades of lawsuits and consumers claiming the talcum powder caused cancer, Johnson & Johnson has decided to discontinue sales of their staple product. According to the New York Times, on Tuesday (May 19) Johnson & Johnson announced that they would discontinue sales of their iconic talc-based powder. While the company is allowing retailers to sell existing bottles until they run out, the company did note that their baby powder made with cornstarch will remain available, and the company will continue to sell the talc-based baby powder in other parts of the world. Johnson & Johnson has often said that faulty testing, shoddy science, and ill-equipped researchers are to blame for findings that its powder was contaminated with asbestos. But...
Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted recently turned 30 and in celebration, the rapper/actor had a digital listening party on Instagram Live to commemorate the event. In it, he revealed an interesting nugget: Mr. Rogers sued him over “A Gangsta’s Fairytale,” which sampled the Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood theme song. A date for the suit wasn’t disclosed but, yes, you read correctly. “I actually wrote this for Eazy-E. But y’all know what it is, we weren’t getting down at the time so I had to take it myself,” Cube said. “It’s a trip because off this song, Mr. Rogers sued us. He was mad because we had the Mister Rogers theme at the beginning of this shit. ‘It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood’ and all that. The n***a sued us and was getting like five cents a record until...

Sia has just added a little sunshine to our quarantine days with the new video for her song, “Together,” which is the first single from her upcoming directorial debut, Music. Directed by Sia, the video is an explosion of color and choreography with dancer Maddie Ziegler, who’s starring in the film (and is often seen in Sia’s videos), is dressed as a praying emoji dancing around. She’s later joined by other Music cast members Kate Hudson, dressed as the peace hand sign emoji, and Leslie Odom Jr., who’s best known for portraying Aaron Burr in the Broadway hit, Hamilton. Actor Héctor Elizondo, who is also in the film, has a quick cameo, as well. Music is based on a children’s book by Dallas Clayton. Sia is directing in addition to writing the 10 songs on the film’s soundtrack. And while many ...
After capturing a top-five debut on the Billboard 200 with his third album Shake the Snow Globe, Russ has given his fans five new songs for the deluxe edition of the project. Before the pandemic, Russ was preparing to head on the road in light of his latest album. Last month, he canceled his Shake the Globe Tour but assured fans that their ...
Happy anniversary to Ariana Grande‘s Dangerous Woman album, which was released on this day (May 20) in 2016! While Grande certainly sounded in command of her life on previous LPs, the pop star brought a whole new level of realness to her third album. As the stylistically eclectic affair veered between R&B, pop, reggae and dance, Grande gave us some of the most honest and memorable lyrics of her career to date. Some of them (like the lines on “Moonlight”) put you right there in the moment with Ariana and her boo. Others, like the lyrics on “Knew Better/Forever Boy,” show her getting very real about her love life — good, bad, and everything messy in between. In honor of the album’s fourth birthday, we’re looking back at ...
As COVID-19 continues to ravage the United States, President Donald Trump has made headlines for something completely different — claiming that former President Barack Obama attempted to sabotage the Trump administration (or as he called it on Twitter, “Obamagate“). But internet comedian Randy Rainbow says he can see right through the president’s favorite new conspiracy theory, and decided to point out exactly what he thinks the president is doing. On Tuesday (May 19), Rainbow uploaded a brand new parody song titled “Distraction,” set to the tune of “Tradition” from Fiddler on the Roof, where he calls out Trump’s attempts to change the narrative. “So how does an unprepared reality TV host pretending to be the president deal with su...
Source: Kevin C. Cox / Getty As the nation continues to slowly open back up and resume normal activities, some businesses are opting to continue their policy of having patrons wear masks inside their establishments. In Colorado, a man is now facing an attempted murder charge after shooting a Waffle House employee because he refused to wear a mask in the restaurant. Local outlet KDVR reports that Kelvin Watson, 27, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder on Monday by the Aurora Police Department. Last week, Watson entered Waffle House during a late-night visit and was told by a waitress that he needed to wear a mask or he wouldn’t be able to order. The restaurant, like many in the United States, was offering carryout orders only. According to the report, Watson left the ...
