A group of armed Black men flanked Rep. Sarah Anthony as she entered the state capitol building due to her concerns. Local outlet City Pulse reports that in the wake of a large gathering last weeks of opponents to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s lockdown orders, with some protestors donning Confederate flag wear, Rep. Anthony expressed concerns that the state has done little to protect legislators from entering their workspace free of harm. “We were all just appalled by the lack of support and lack of security that I had, that other legislators had, and the fact that a lot of the demonstrators ...

Live Nation Outlines Plan to Steadily Reopen Venues by End of 2021

If you’ve been anxiously awaiting when you could go back out and see some live music — Missouri and Arkansas withstanding — here’s some hope. During an earnings call with investors on Thursday (May 7), Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said that the promotions giant is aiming to get things back to normal at the beginning of 2021. In the interim, like Travis McCready’s upcoming concert in Arkansas shows, there will be several stages of steady rollouts before things get back to normal that will take place over the next six months. “So over the next six months, we’ll be starting slow and small, focusing on the basics and testing regionally. But whether it’s in Arkansas or [another] state that is safe, secure and politically fine to proceed in, we’re going to dabble in fan-less concerts with...

Sorry, we couldn’t resist. Anyway, the couple had been living separately for a long minute now, while occasionally airing their grievances on social for all to hear and see. According to TMZ, Princess filed her divorce documents on Tuesday (May 5) in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Damn son, on Cinco De Mayo, though? While the couple got married in 2016 and have two daughters, recently they’d been at odds. Last year the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star said Ray J left her stranded in Las Vegas (it didn’t help her estranged hubby’s cause that she was pregnant), and it’s been a long spiral of struggle ever...

Reebok Trolls Michael Jordan For His 1992 Olympics Snub

Source: Dimitri Iundt / Getty If you’ve been tuning into ESPN’s smash docu-series The Last Dance for the past few weeks you’d come to appreciate the new pieces of interesting information that’s been disclosed which have been kept secret for decades that may not mean much now but would’ve been a big deal in the 90’s. From Horace Grant possibly dropping dime on MJ’s “Republicans buy sneakers too” political stance to Dennis Rodman’s invention of the whole notion of “management load,” the series is as revealing as can be. But one pretty interesting nugget of information seems to have rubbed Reebok the wrong way. Viewers learned that during the 1992 Olympics gold medal ceremonies, Michael Jordan absolutely refused to be seen wearing his Reebok branded USA outfit on stage and instead he opted to...
