Turns Out Grimes and Elon Musk Can’t Legally Name Their Baby “X Æ A-12” in California

Grimes and Elon Musk broke the internet earlier this week when they announced the name of their newborn. On May 5th, they welcomed little X Æ A-12 to the internet, and a universal “huh?” was heard worldwide. In not so surprising news, it turns out that California law prohibits the registration of a legal name consisting of symbols and numbers. Family law attorney David Glass informed People that while the couple’s choice of name doesn’t technically break any laws, it wouldn’t be accepted as valid by the state. “In California, you can only use the ’26 characters’ of the English language in your baby name,” Glass said. “Thus, you can’t have numbers, Roman numerals, accents, umlauts, or other symbols or emojis. Although an apostrophe...

Ariana Grande, BTS & More: Who Should Do a Concert Special Next? Vote!

Following news that ABC will be airing a Taylor Swift City of Lover Concert special this month, we got to thinking of what other artists we’d like to see on screen while stuck at home. Ariana Grande teased back in October that a Sweetener tour film is in the works, so Arianators are surely itching to relive Grande’s biggest tour yet, plus have a chance to see some behind-the-scenes footage. While Shawn Mendes (and Alessia Cara) had been uploading mini-documentaries to his YouTube channel throughout his 2019 world tour, it could be  great quarantine entertainment to mash them all together into one big special. Similar to Taylor Swift, BTS, Camila Cabello, Justin Bieber, Madonna and Celine Dion were among the countless artists who had to reschedule concert dat...

Nearly 18 months since his 2018 arrest, Tekashi 6ix9ine finally returned to the public eye on Friday (May 8) with a highly-anticipated Instagram Live session, which shattered the IG Live record by topping more than two-million viewers at its peak. The usually-rowdy Brooklyn native has been radio silent, laying low for the most part since his April 2 release from prison, which came four months prior to the original date he’d be set free. Tekashi’s legal team secured him the right to serve the rest of his sentence on house arrest since he suffers from asthma and the coronavirus outbreak continues to run rampant through the prison system. Tekashi is wasting no time in resuming his rap career, as he debuted his pugnacious “GOOBA” single on Friday (May 8...

Dave Grohl and company have dug deep into their archives in recent weeks. Yesterday, they shared their legendary set from Lollapalooza 2011 (which has since mysteriously been taken down) and a show from London’s Hyde Park from 2006 that saw Lemmy from Motorhead and Queen’s Brian May (who has had his own problems during quarantine) show up on stage with th...
