Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN Rihanna is safe and sound during the global COVID-19 pandemic and is said to be living across the pond while health officials scramble to return things to a level of normalcy. As a result, a summer trial that the Barbadian superstar was set for has been pushed back due to the uncertainty of things and will take place this fall. The Blast reports that Rihanna is residing in the United Kingdom, leaving her Los Angeles digs behind as the novel coronavirus spread has ebbed and flowed across California with varying results. The singer and businesswoman was slated to face her father, Ronald Fenty, in court over the use of her name and likeness. In a lawsuit filed in 2019, Rihanna claims that her father used his Fenty Entertainment company to book a $15 million Latin Am...

Guns N’ Roses took aim at President Donald Trump’s trip to the Honeywell factory in Arizona last week when the 45th president of the United States walked around the vicinity without a mask on. The band has released a special edition t-shirt with “Live N’ Let Die With COVID 45″ on it, which claps back at Trump’s maskless tour of the same factory that is producing the N95 masks for the federal government. The proceeds from shirt sales will go to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares that’s providing services and resources for musicians in need, especially during the novel coronavirus pandemic. GNR leader Axl Rose hasn’t been shy about voicing out his opinions regarding the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic and even got into a Twitter beef with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin....
Pearl Jam’s Gigaton was released in March and it’s safe to say, things have not gone according to plan since. But the good news: they shared a new video for their latest single, “Retrograde.” For the animated clip, the band teamed up with director Josh Wakely, it opens with a lone traveler driving through the rain and descending upon a strip mall. Visiting a psychic (in a shopping center conveniently with a bunch of the band’s album titles on the storefronts), the protagonist watches world destruction through a crystal ball as the melting glaciers and sea overtake iconic landmarks like Eiffel Tower in Paris, London Bridge in London and cities like New York and Seattle (think like Day After Tomorrow or 2012). Tarot cards of the band appear and there’s an ...
The Killers’ Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vanucci, who are currently quarantining together at Flowers’ home in Las Vegas brought their new single, “Caution.” to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (May 13). “We’d like to a play song for all the healthcare workers who are putting themselves out on the frontlines helping everybody in need,” Vannucci, who took on guitar duties for this rendition, said before the performance. “We can’t tell you how much we appreciate that and how heroic that is. So thank you very much, and this song is for them.” With the help of a drum machine, the performance of the song off their new album, Imploding The Mirage, was as both inspiring, and Flowers’ vocals were pretty flawless — making us yearn for the day we get to see The Killers play th...

[Spoiler alert: This story contains the identity of the eliminated contestant on Wednesday night’s (May 13) The Masked Singer.] It’s been a long, crazy season on The Masked Singer. We’ve had pop, R&B and hip-hop icons, skateboarding legends, TV/movie stars and everything in between march on and off the stage before being unmasked. And on Wednesday night’s (May 13) semi-final featuring Rhino, Frog, Turtle and Night Angel, we had some of the best performances of to date, making season three’s penultimate episode one of the hardest ones ever. Sadly, it was the end of the line for the tall drink of water that is Rhino, who wowed America and the judges for months with a mix of seriously on-point pop, rock and country tracks, with his final run through Tim McGraw’s ...

Rapper and activist Common went into quarantine concerned about incarcerated people he has met during visits to jails, prisons and juvenile detention centers around the U.S. and who aren’t able to maintain social distance or adopt rigorous hygiene routines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. “It’s a troubling time for them,” Common said, “because they are the people who usually are overlooked.” On Wednesday, his criminal justice reform organization Imagine Justice launched a campaign with dozens of advocacy and activist groups calling attention to the threat that the coronavirus pandemic poses on millions of men, women and youths who are incarcerated in the U.S. The campaign, dubbed #WeMatterToo, is urging authorities to immediately release people who have served the vast majority of their ...
The Killers hit the right note, with the right message, when they appeared on The Tonight Show on Wednesday night (May 13). Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci represented the Las Vegas pop-rock outfit for an at-home performance of “Caution,” lifted from their forthcoming set Imploding the Mirage. At the top, Vannucci dedicated the song to healthcare workers “who are putting themselves out on the frontlines helping everybody in need.” He added, “we can’t tell you how much we appreciate that and how heroic that is.” The pair brought the energy and filled it up on guitars, keys and a drum machine, with no gimmicks. “Caution” made chart history last month when it rose 2-1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs airplay survey, a full 13 years and six months after their last leader on the...
ASTRO returns to the Emerging Artists chart this week with big gains on YouTube and Twitter. Following a busy 2019 that included two album releases and their first-ever U.S. tour, ASTRO is looking to reintroduce themselves with a new EP that looks to transcend their past. Following the release of the K-pop boy band’s Gateway — that ties in everything from surging pop on standouts “Knock” and “Lights On” to playful hip-hop for “When You Call My Name” — ASTRO sees gains across the board to mark a return to Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart. At No. 49 this week, ASTRO’s re-entry to Emerging Artists can be mostly attributed to their social media presence. Upon the release of Gateway, the sextet gained 75,000 new YouTu...
