The Glitch Mob Reconnect With Early Rave Influences On Fourth Album, “CTRL ALT REALITY”

With their fourth studio album, CTRL ALT REALITY, The Glitch Mob are resetting expectations.  The tenured electronic trio have always been very deliberate with their creative output. So when they returned with the announcement of their first album since 2018’s See Without Eyes,  there was an immediate interest in how their latest chapter would unfold.  The band spurred even more intrigue when they offered up a rather conceptual creative thesis. “This next chapter in our artistry is intended to get back to the music, the movement, the dance, the connection of body & sound,” the group tweeted in September. “We are here to provide an audio experience you feel deep in your soul.” As with their prior long-form projects, it’s apparent that t...

Honey Dijon’s Entrancing Sophomore Album Is Here: Listen to “Black Girl Magic”

Honey Dijon has finally released her highly anticipated Black Girl Magic album.  Featuring collaborations with boundary-breaking artists like Channel Tres and Pabllo Vittar, among others, Black Girl Magic interpolates spoken word soliloquies with pulsing sound design and unapologetic lyricism. The album opens with “Love Is,” a record which defines its entire purpose and concept: love. The ensuing track, “Love Is a State of Mind,” picks up the tempo with a brisk four-on-the-floor house groove and acid house-inspired synths. Dancing up to “In The Club,” Dijon’s sound gets more nostalgic. Fluttering, filtered synths and a palpitating bassline carry us right into Eve’s warm vocals.  Honey Dijon. Kygo Drops Surprise Album, “Thrill Of The Chase”

“Why not?” is something we say when asked if we want another beer, or deciding to add guac to a burrito. For Kygo, it was dropping a full-length album. The dance music superstar has surprise-released a brand new LP, Thrill Of The Chase. The album, which he hadn’t even announced prior to today, is his first since 2020’s scintillating Golden Hour. Kygo said a few of the songs on Thrill Of The Chase are “different from anything” he’s ever created in the past. That sentiment is most perceptible in “All For Love,” a cinematic banger which dumps his lush sound like sour milk in favor of a darker aesthetic. The same can be said of “Gone Are The Days,” an aching ballad featuring a wistful James Gillespie. Kygo’s ride-or-dies w...

In his verse, Drake sparked controversy on multiple fronts, taking aim at both Megan Thee Stallion and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), respectively.  Scroll to Continue Recommended Articles “This bitch lie about getting shot but she still a stallion. It’s one of them albums where by the time you press play and you get to the end, you done traveled the world. All my albums always do that,” Akon said. “I always start off with street records and then I end up with a big ass pop record. So I like to take people on that journey because you shouldn’t be defined in music in one territory because I stil...
