Thrash metal legends Dave Lombardo and Scott Ian contributed to the score of the upcoming Netflix film Thunder Force, starring Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer. Lombardo (founding drummer for Slayer and current member of Dead Cross, Suicidal Tendencies, and the Original Misfits) and Ian (founding Anthrax guitarist) recently collaborated together as part of the reunited Mr. Bungle, recording 2020’s The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo. David Fincher Teaming with Michael Fassbender for Netflix Drama The Killer

David Fincher is teaming with Michael Fassbender to make The Killer, Fincher’s long-developing assassin drama. The Hollywood Reporter reports the film has been picked up Netflix and will begin filming before the end of 2021. The Killer is an adaptation of the French graphic novel of the same name and has been associated with Fincher since 2007. The project is being written by Andrew Kevin Walker, who previously wrote Fincher’s breakout film, Seven, and also worked on Fight Club and The Game. In a role reminiscent of Bill Hader’s in Barry (without the acting classes), Fassbender will star as an assassin who begins to psychologically crack as he develops a conscience, even as his clients continue to demand his skills. First published in October 1998, the graphic novel is described as ha...

The announcement of the project was tucked into a press release about screenwriter Ian Edelman’s new movie, American Sole (starring Pete Davidson and O’Shea Jackson Jr.). As Collider reports, Brittany Runs a Marathon director Paul Downs Colaizzo will helm the project, with Wu-Tang’s own RZA producing alongside Brad Pitt’s Plan B. Edelman will be working off Colaizzo’s original draft of the script. For those who don’t know, the Wu-Tang Clan only produced one...
