It’s 2012. “Levels” is blasting through every house party. Big room house music is dominating the club circuit. Avicii, Skrillex and Pretty Lights are headlining Ultra Music Festival. Life is good. Rave culture bubbled up from the underground and exploded through the mainstream, leading to a collective serotonin rush that still remains. And while the EDM ecosystem is still thriving, it’s markedly different from those days, when DJs and producers pumped out hits like a broken printer. 2012 gave rise to a slew of generational dance anthems, which are now relics of a bygone era. Read on to turn back the clock a ...

For most DJs, a signature visual brand means so much more than just a helmet or a telltale logo. In fact, these hallmark features tend to become more than representative of an artist—they’re synonymous. So goes the story of Mim Nervo, one half of Australian sister duo NERVO, whose trademark mohawk has taken on a life of its own. Mim’s hair has become one of the biggest personalities in the electronic game. It’s been blue, it’s been blonde, and it’s always paired with a kickass outfit. But what makes Mim’s mohawk so impressive is its stability. Pyrotechnics, head-banging, sweaty DJ sets under the sun—you name it, and this hair has survived it. How in the heck is that even possible, you may ask? Mim has provided us with an exclusi...
NERVO have taken their DJing skills to new heights—literally. Just this year, the company doubled its valuation to $2.5 billion, according to CNBC. You can check out footage of the event, which kicked off on the roof of...

Each of the remixes brings an entirely new feel to the track, transforming the trappy original into a variety of different genres. While “Pickle” itself was unlike NERVO’s usual releases, fans who enjoy the song will undoubtedly enjoy the wide array of re...
