In a brief statement, 2K announced that Davis officially “passed the torch to the NBA 2K21 cover athletes” and that we will learn who has earned the prestigious honor over the course of three days: June 30 – July 2. Yesterday, it was announced that the NBA 2K League will make its television debut. Starting last night (May.5), the growing eSports league kicked off its season, and games will air every Tuesday through at least May 19 on ESPN2. The sports network has already aired the NBA 2K Player’s Only Tournament, as well as broadcasts from FIFA, NASCAR, Madden, and F1. They also aired tournaments featuring other video games such as Overwatch, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and League of Legends.
