Yoruba elders condemn burning of Sarkin Fulani’s residence
Elders in the South West have condemned Friday’s attack on Sarkin Fulani, in Oyo State, Alhaji Salihu AbdulKadir and his family where houses were burnt down, livestock killed and 11 cars also burnt to ashes. The elders, who stated their opposition to the action attributed it to some criminals led by a secessionist, Sunday Adeyemo, in a statement under the umbrella of Coalition of Oduduwa Elders, said the development was inimical to the unity of the country which they stand for. Zamfara APC sets up seven-man disciplinary committee
The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a seven-man disciplinary committee to look into activities of party members working against the resolution of the APC National Executive Committee (NEC). The state party’s Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Liman, made this known in a statement in Gusau on Tuesday. Liman said that the committee was set up in line with the directive by the National Secretariat of the party. Police bar APC’s acting national secretary from secretariat

Adams Oshiomhole swears in Waziri Bulama as APC acting national secretary
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday, swore in Waziri Bulama as acting National Secretary of the party. This is coming a few months after a crisis within the party’s ranks almost cost Oshiomhole his position. The Deputy National Secretary, Victor Giadom, had laid claim to the position after an Abuja High Court earlier granted an interim injunction restraining Oshiomhole from parading himself as national chairman. A truce was reached following the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
