Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on Thursday, described the late billionaire businessman, Bolu Akin-Olugbade, as passionate in his defence of Nigerian unity and was devoted to his roots. Akin-Olugbade was reported to have died of COVID-19-related complications, as a passionate Nigerian. Obasanjo said this in a condolence letter addressed to his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Oladunni Akin-Olugbade. The Federal Government says it has further confirmed from results of tests conducted on prospective National Youth Service Corps members confirmed that no part of the country was free of COVID-19. Twitter Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has urged the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to ensure domestication of the Act in all states. AfDB grants $11.26 million for women, girls’ education in Chad
The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank has approved a grant of $11.26 million to the Government of Chad to finance the Girls’ Education and Women’s Literacy Project – the bank’s first grant exclusively targeting women and girls. The project will be financed from the Bank’s Transition Support Facility and will be implemented over a five-year period by the Chadian Ministry of National Education and Civic Promotion, in coordination with partners involved in the education sector, civil society organisations, and youth organisations.
