Discovery Channel Will Air Mythbusters Marathon in Honor of Late Host Grant Imahara

Longtime Mythbusters host Grant Imahara died earlier this week after suffering a brain aneurysm. Now, to honor his life and legacy, Discovery Channel and Science Channel will air a Mythbusters marathon this weekend. Beginning today, July 17th through Saturday, July 18th, a total of eight Imahara-centric episodes will broadcast across both channels. Many feature Imahara’s own favorite moments, according to Discovery, highlighting the Build Team member’s skills as an electrical engineer and roboticist. Mythbusters host Grant Imahara has died at the age of 49 after suffering a brain aneurysm. “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant,” a representative for Discovery Channel said in a statement. “He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.” An electrical engineer and roboticist by training, Imahara spent the early part of his career working at Lucasfilm. Mythbusters Host Adam Savage Accused of Sexually Abusing His Sister

Mythbusters co-host Adam Savage has been accused of “repeatedly” sexually abusing his own sister. In a lawsuit filed in New York, sister Miranda Pacchiana alleged that Savage sexually assaulted her “repeatedly over the course of several years.” According to a lengthy post on her blog, The Second Wound, the abuse began when he was just nine years old and she was only seven. “As a child, this experience shook my sense of safety and crushed my self-confidence,” Pacchiana, a writer and social worker, recounted. “For decades afterward, I dealt with periods of depression and near-constant anxiety.
