The director is best known for his 2010 drama Blue Valentine and 2013’s The Place Beyond the Pines. He brings striking visuals to what singer Mike Patton called “the least commercial and longest song” on Mr. Bungle’s new album, The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo. “That’s where his eyes and ears go,” Patton said of Cianfrance in a press release. On Monday, Rico Nasty formally announced her debut album, Nightmare Vacation. Due out in just a few weeks, the project is being teased now with “OHFR?”, a new single that reunites the young rapper with Dylan Brady of 100 gecs. Over the summer, the two acts joined forces on Rico track “iPhone”, as well as on 100 gecs’ “ringtone” remix alongside Charli XCX and Kero Kero Bonito. Not unlike those previous offerings, “OHFR?” continues to see Rico and Brady finding their collaborative sweet spot all while disregarding genre barriers. Last weekend, Foo Fighters debuted their new song “Shame Shame” on Saturday Night Live. Now, the Dave Grohl-led outfit has unveiled an accompanying music video. Additionally, the veteran rockers have announced a new concert event to be streamed live from the Roxy in Hollywood on Saturday, November 14th. The video for “Shame Shame” was directed by Paola Kudacki and features the Algerian-French actress and dancer Sofia Boutella (The Mummy, Atomic Blonde, the Kingsman franchise). With angular dancing and moody lighting, the visuals represent burdens of shame and guilt. In one particularly memorable sequence, Grohl uses a guitar to dig his own grave. Following the release of “Anno Satana” and “Birch Grove” a few weeks ago, the Billy Corgan-led outfit is now sharing another pair of teaser songs in “Wyttch” and “Ramona”. “Wyttch” finds the Pumpkins revisiting some of their more ominous musical territories, filled with crunchy and searing guitars. The track comes just in time for the spooky Halloween weekend. The alt-rockers take a mellower approach on “Ramona”, however.
