Lingua Ignota, aka Kristen Hayter, has announced her new album Sinner Get Ready, arriving August 6th on new label home Sargent House. She’s also shared the self-shot video for lead single “Pennsylvania Furnace”. In a change-up from her epic 2019 album Caligula, Hayter drops her industrial leanings for a haunting take on Appalachian folk and gospel music on Sinner Get Ready. Alien Weaponry Announce New Album Tangaroa, Unveil Title Track: Stream
Alien Weaponry have announced their highly anticipated sophomore album, Tangaroa, out September 17th via Napalm Records. The New Zealand band also shared the music video for the title track. The thrash-metal trio take an environmentalist stance with the song and video, decrying the pollution of oceans and the savagery of illegal fishing practices. Indigo De Souza Announces New Album, Shares “Kill Me”: Stream
Indigo De Souza has announced her new full-length album, Any Shape You Take, out August 27th on Saddle Creek Records. As a preview, the Asheville-based artist has shared the cheeky music video for the album’s first single, “Kill Me”. De Souza will also hit the road on a US tour this fall. A musician since childhood, De Souza co-produced Any Shape You Take with Brad Cook, who’s also worked with Bon Iver and Waxahatchee. It was recorded at Betty’s, the Chapel Hill studio of fellow North Carolinians Sylvan Esso. The Pretty Reckless have unveiled a video for “Only Love Can Save Me Now” featuring Soundgarden members Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron. The song appears on TPR’s new album, Death by Rock and Roll, which arrived earlier this year. Thayil and Cameron guest on the studio version of the track, and reprise their roles in the music video. The clip shows Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen rising out of the ocean in a soaking wet white dress as she sings the hard-rocking tune.
