Diane Keaton Stars in Justin Bieber’s “Ghost” Music Video: Watch

If you were a teenage girl between the years of 2009 to 2013, there’s a good chance you once fantasized about starring in a Justin Bieber music video. Today, in a move that no tween back then could’ve predicted, the latest actress to take on that coveted role is… Diane Keaton. The Something’s Gotta Give star has inexplicably teamed up with the Biebs for his new “Ghost” music video. The “Ghost” clip, directed by Colin Tilley, finds Bieber at the funeral of his grandfather. Throughout the rest of the video, he spends time consoling his grieving grandmother, who is played by Keaton. Keaton’s character then joins Bieber in a night of debauchery, downing shots of liquor in an outfit that Annie Hall would definitely approve of (would she have been a Belieber?) before swiping around for elig...

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Share New Song “High and Lonesome”: Stream

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss did not write an original song for their Grammy-winning 2007 album Raising Sand, and 11 out of the 12 tracks on the upcoming sequel Raise the Roof are covers. But “High and Lonesome” is a novelty: an all-new tune, co-written by Plant and producer T Bone Burnett that’s as fun as anything in Plant’s recent discography. The bluesy track chugs along on a four-note guitar riff, accompanied by crisp drumming and occasionally punctuated by urgent smacks of hand claps. Plant triples-up phrases like, “I must find my love,” and “Does she still think of me,” putting a swanky little lean into the first word. Krauss and Burnett sing backup vocals, with the latter adding a ghostly whisper and the former flickering above Plant’s topline like smoke above a fire. Check o...

Kylie Minogue has released her new single, “A Second to Midnight,” with some help from Years & Years. It’s the first preview of her recently-announced album DISCO: Guest List Edition. The song is nothing short of a glittering disco bop, with the pop icon in pursuit of the high that only comes from the dance floor. “Cause the clock keeps tickin’ the tock/ I’m not gonna stop, no how, no way/ I’m chasing after midnight/ Show me the way to your heart/ Ready for the start of my real life/ To shine like a light in the dark,” she sings on the ebullient chorus. Portrayal of Guilt Unveil Eerie Music Video for New Song “…Where the Suffering Never Ends”: Stream

Portrayal of Guilt have unleashed the new song “…Where the Suffering Never Ends” from the Austin band’s upcoming full-length, Christf**ker, out November 5th. The single is accompanied by an eerie cinematic music video. Once again, Portrayal of Guilt conjure a sense of catharsis and foreboding with a heavy onslaught that melds various styles: death metal, noise, screamo, and post-hardcore. The trio continue to prove they can exist outside of these labels while appealing to the dedicated fans of such hyper-specific subgenres. Director Craig Murray brought the song’s grim implications to life with a horrific Blair Witch-style clip. Trimmed down from an initial 15-20 minute edit, the video functions as a short film, building up a towering sense of unease and suspense before its bloody climax. ...

The supermodel came forward with the allegation in her upcoming memoir My Body, an excerpt of which was published by The Sunday Times of London, the New York Post, and The Daily Beast. “Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger’s hands cupping my bare breasts from behind. David Lee Roth has released the new solo song “Low-Rez Sunset,” accompanied by a music video featuring original artwork by the Van Halen frontman. The Alchemist Unveils New Song “Miracle Baby” Featuring Mavi: Stream

On Tuesday, The Alchemist announced This Thing of Ours Vol. 2, the sequel to the April EP This Thing of Ours. Now, he’s shared the first single from the October 8th release, “Miracle Baby,” featuring the 21-year-old North Carolinian Mavi. Alchemist beats tend to go easy on the percussion and hard on atmospherics, and “Miracle Baby” is no exception. The track opens with samples with such a tinny tone that they just sound black and white, as voices say, “Look in my eyes and tell me what you see,” and, “The eyes are the window to the soul.” The beat drops with choral “oohs,” and persistent bass, and while it’s possible to pick out kick drums and high hats, they’re low enough in the mix that Mavi has the space to do whatever he wants. Here, the rising rapper unleashes a stream o...

Ministry offered up the first taste of the album a year-and-a-half ago, when they released the scorching single “Alert Level” at the beginning of the pandemic. The band followed that up this past summer with the single “Good Trouble,” a tribute to late politician and Civil Rights activist John Lewis. Elsewhere, Moral Hygiene includes a collaboration with former Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra on the song “Sabotage Is Sex.” Jourgensen and Biafra previously teamed up in the side project Lard, with the Ministry frontman re...
