Atlanta’s First LGBTQ+ EDM Festival Planned for Fall 2021

GAYDM is celebrating Pride Month with the launch of Atlanta’s first LGBTQ+ EDM festival, One Love. The inaugural event on September 11th, 2021 will feature 11 hours of music across three stages at the Cellairis Amphitheatre, where 25 of the top LGBTQ+ DJs on the scene will perform. Already announced in the first phase of the lineup are Danny Tenaglia, Citizen Jane, Samantha Ronson, Dave Audé, and Pagano, among others. The One Love music festival comes in collaboration with GAGA (Gay Georgia) and Lost-n-Found Youth. Both organizations work tirelessly to serve the LGBTQ+ in Georgia, promoting safe environments and assisting homeless youth. Tomorrowland Officially Cancels 2021 Festival: “The Entire Team Fought Till the End”

Insomniac’s First-Ever Day Trip Festival Relocates to The Lot at Hollywood Park

Insomniac‘s inaugural Day Trip music festival, which was originally scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Waterfront, has been relocated to The Lot at Hollywood Park. After Insomniac announced they had added a second day, tickets to Day Trip sold out quickly and they opted to move to the venue, which is bigger and adjacent to the all-new SoFi Stadium. “This change will allow us to have a more spacious, improved layout, as well as release a limited amount of additional tickets,” reads a press statement from Insomniac. Belgian Mayors Unwilling to Reverse Permit Rejection for Tomorrowland 2021

Tomorrowland may very well have just been dealt its death blow as far as its prospects for a 2021 edition are concerned. Late last week, news had dropped that the Mayors of Boom and Rumst were not willing to move forward with granting Tomorrowland a critical permit to take place in 2021, citing multiple factors they deem risks to public safety.  This rejection at the local level came as somewhat of a surprise given the national government had conditionally green lit the event under a specific series of stipulations.  Mayors Jeroen Baert and Jurgen Callaerts then went on to reject the permit request, saying that the federal government’s previously promised event guidelines, which would permit 75,000 person events, have not yet been enacted. Splash House Announces Summer 2021 Return

The organizers of the Southern California pool party mecca Splash House have announced the event’s grand 2021 return. Known for its idyllic setting in Palm Springs, the sun-kissed festival was forced to abandon its 2020 edition due to the impact of COVID-19. The fest typically occurs over two weekends in June and August, but after organizers had to pull the plug on the June 2021 edition, they’ve opted for the fest to return on consecutive weekends in August: 13-15 and 20-22, respectively. Chicago is Giving Out Over 1,000 Free Lollapalooza Passes to Vaccinated Residents

Receiving the COVID-19 vaccine could punch your ticket to one of the nation’s most iconic music festivals. As the city enters its final reopening stage, Chicago’s health department has announced plans to give out 1,200 free single-day passes for Lollapalooza‘s 2021 edition to anyone who makes an appointment at select vaccination sites on June 26th. The promotion is part of the Protect Chicago Music Series, which offers free tickets to concerts for vaccinated residents. According to city officials, Chicago will transform four of its vaccination sites into “Lolla Day” events, each offering a live DJ, custom Lollapalooza-branded giveaways, and a pass to the festival. Tycho has teased the announcement of a new curated festival.
