Full Trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League Revealed: Watch

Like a Valentine’s Day gift showing love to all the fans who made this happen, HBO Max has shared the full trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Check it out below. The first preview of Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of the critically panned 2017 film actually arrived back in August, but a lot has changed since then. Most notably, Snyder convinced Warner Bros. to allow him to do reshoots, with the studio offering up a reported $40 million for additional footage. That’s on top of the $30 million they’d already allotted him to add new score from original composer Junkie XL, redo special effects and coloring (including turning Superman’s suit black), and bring to life the script’s primary antagonist, Darkseid. As if all that weren’t enough, Snyder actually added a whole new character to his...

Dolly Parton Is a Literal Angel in Trailer for Netflix’s Christmas on The Square: Watch

Did you know that, legally, Dolly Parton is the only person allowed to celebrate Christmas before Thanksgiving? Queen Kringle is taking full advantage this year, having already released her new album A Holly Dolly Christmas in September. Now, Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Dolly Parton’s Christmas on The Square, in which Parton fulfills her destiny and appears as a literal angel. Oh, did we mention it’s also a musical? Because hark, this herald angel can sing. This twist on Charles Dickens stars Christine Baranski as a modern-day Scrooge named Regina Fuller. Ms. Fuller-herself has plans to evict an entire town, and on Christmas Eve no less. Luckily, an angel in rhinestones appears to try and warm her frozen heart. Will Dolly succeed? Yes, definitely — but then again m...

Riz Ahmed Is a Drummer Going Deaf in Sound of Metal Trailer: Watch

September is National Deaf Awareness Month, which makes it the perfect time to drop the first trailer for Sound of Metal. The movie stars Riz Ahmed as Ruben, a drummer whose entire identity is thrown into question when he loses his hearing. A recovering heroin addict, Ruben drums behind his girlfriend, Lou (Olivia Cooke) in a two-piece punk-metal act. The pair are enjoying life on the road in their Airstream until years of pounding the kit takes its toll on Ruben’s hearing. Lou finds him a sober living home for the deaf, where he begins to grapple with his new reality and what it means for the life of music he’s always known. Sound of Metal marks the directorial debut of Darius Marder, who also co-wrote the script with his brother, Abraham. Marder is best known as the co-writer of the 2012...

Robert Pattinson Impresses As The Dark Knight In First Trailer To ‘The Batman’

Source: Matt Reeves / Twitter/@mattreevesLA Over the weekend, DC held a two-day virtual comic book convention for comic book heads dubbed DC FanDome, treating fans to everything from our first look at Zack Snyder’s Justice League to finally revealing what Cheetah will look like in Wonder Woman 2. But it was the first trailer to Matt Reeves’ highly-anticipated The Batman that stole the show as we finally got our first live-action look at Twilight star Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader. The dark and gloomy trailer to the new Batman film finds Pattinson’s Dark Knight piecing together clues left behind by The Riddler (Paul Dano) before going toe-to-toe with Zoe Kravtiz’s Catwoman, who seems to be donning the strugglest’s of cat costumes (we hope she upgrades it by the end of the film). We...

HBO Shares First Trailer for Coastal Elites with Issa Rae, Dan Levy, Bette Midler: Watch

HBO has shared the first trailer for its new satirical film Coastal Elites. The socially-distanced comedy will light up your screens on September 12th with stars Issa Rae, Dan Levy, Bette Midler, Sarah Paulson, and Kaitlyn Dever. Coastal Elites solves the practical problem of filming in quarantine by borrowing an idea from the theater. It’s a cinematic approach to the monologue play, as each of the five characters take turns speaking into the camera. Here, the camera is apparently supposed to be a laptop fixture, and each of the monologues represents a remote video call. In the trailer, for example, we see Levy’s Mark Hesterman greeting an unseen therapist named Dr. Morton, before launching into a joke-filled rant about identity. It’s unclear if everyone is in therapy, but f...

In a new trailer for the Shaka King-directed Judas and the Black Messiah, Kaluuya stars as Hampton, who was rising as a bold voice for Black revolution in the late 1960s as the deputy chairman of the Black Panthers’ national body. Tragically, Hampton was murdered in cold blood as he slept by Chicago police in December 1969 at age 21, leaving behind a young son who would grow up to follow his father’s footsteps, and also served as a consultant on the film. Joining Kaluuya is his Get Out co-sta...

Christopher Nolan Unleashes New Tenet Trailer: Watch

Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. are insistent on getting Tenet into theaters — COVID be damned. To keep the hype machine going, they’ve unleashed a new trailer — which debuted live on Fortnite — that has us salivating for the time-warping thriller. Like the first preview that dropped in December, this latest trailer offers more eye candy and even more proof that this is, indeed, the “most ambitious film” Nolan has ever made. We’re still fuzzy on what the hell exactly is going on, but we know we want more. Once again, the film centers around a spy played by John David Washington, who’s been tasked with preventing World War III. Only it’s not nuclear holocaust he’s trying to stop — it’s someone with the ability to manipulate time in a very unique, mind-bending way. Editors’ Pic...

Pete Davidson Is The King of Staten Island in Trailer for Judd Apatow’s New Movie: Watch

Pete Davidson is a Saturday Night Live breakout comedian from Staten Island whose firefighter father died during 9/11. Now, he’s channeled that real-life story through Judd Apatow’s lens for the new movie The King of Staten Island, the trailer for which has just been released. Co-written by Davidson, Apatow, and Dave Sirus (an SNL writing alum), the film centers on Scott, a 20-something slacker with big dreams of being a tattoo artist and a bigger weed habit. Like Davidson, Scott’s dad was killed on the job as a firefighter, and the grief from that loss 17 years earlier still weighs on him. When his mother (Marisa Tomei) begins dating another firefighter (Bill Burr) named Ray, Scott is forced to finally confront his own stagnation. The King of Staten Island also stars Steve Buscemi as a ve...
