Cameroon goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa doubtful for Super Eagles friendly

Indomitable Lions goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa is doubtful for Friday’s friendly against Nigeria due to injury. Ondoa, who plays for Spanish club Deportivo Alaves hurt a finger on his right hand during training on Tuesday morning. Kebbi boat mishap: 92 dead bodies recovered so far

Eleven additional bodies of the victims of last Wednesday’s boat mishap in Warra town of Ngaski local government area of Kebbi state have been recovered. On Saturday, Governor Atiku Bagudu said a total of 81 dead bodies had been recovered, majority of whom were residents of Warra town. A resident of Warra, Mallam Jabir, said the additional dead bodies were recovered in two neighbouring villages of Warra. According to him, some of the recovered bodies had to be buried in the river because they had decomposed badly. He said the corpses were tied to a rope attached with a heavy stone so that they could be well deposited under the water. Police arrest ‘internet scammer’ for ‘killing’ twin brother

Delta Police Command has apprehended a suspected internet scammer at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State for allegedly killing his twin brother. The suspect, it was gathered, was found with a dog and the decomposing body of the deceased in their apartment at Old Olomoro Road on Monday after neighbours perceived a strange smell emanating from the flat. The source said the corpse of the deceased had been deposited in a mortuary in the area while the suspect and his dog were arrested by the police. Though the reason for the killing could not be ascertained at press time, sources said it may have been carried out for ritual purposes. Security forces kill five gunmen allegedly preparing to attack Rivers

At least five gunmen allegedly preparing to launch an attack on a police division in Eleme Local Government Area, Rivers State, have been killed by security operatives. It was gathered the operatives also arrested six of them after a gun battle that lasted for some time. The gunmen were reportedly camped at a forest between Oyigbo and Eleme council areas where they mapped strategies to launch the attack. But they were said to have been ambushed by security operatives following an intelligence report. A middle-aged man has been arrested by the Police in Asaba, the Delta State capital for allegedly stabbing a 15-year old girl, Omelagu Chidinma at the neck region, below her lower jaw for reportedly refusing his love advances.
