Crystal Skies and MitiS Reunite With Linney for Melodic Bass Anthem, “Gone”

Longtime collaborators MitiS and Crystal Skies have teamed up with Linney for “Gone,” out now on Insomniac’s Lost in Dreams imprint. “Gone” is something fans of MitiS and Crystal Skies’ previous collaborations will undoubtedly gravitate to. Linney’s stentorian vocals lead listeners into a dreamy soundscape painted with melancholic guitar riffs, organic percussive elements, and subtle piano chords. As the drop makes its way in, its synths take centerstage, curating that heartfelt future bass sound we all crave from this pairing of producers. “Gone” is the first single from Crystal Skies’ forthcoming debut album, which is due out on February 11th, 2022. With a little under a month until the full record drops, eager fans should ...

Volpe’s hard drive is apparently mouthwatering, chock full of unreleased music with the likes of Marshmello, NGHTMRE, Adventure Club and more. One of the tracks, he added, is dropping later this month. Marshmello dropped the curtain on his unreleased collab with Volpe at the 2021 edition of Lollapalooza, where he kicked off his headlining performance with the dubstep banger. Needless to say, fans of Volpe are safe to look forward to a prolific year of genre-defying electronic music. And after signing with famed dubstep imprint Disciple in 2021, it seems his leap into the upper echelon of bass music wi...

MitiS has been delivering the best music of his career as of late. In January, he released “Try” with RØRY, followed by “Homesick” with SOUNDR in March. For the latest single from his upcoming album, the Pennsylvania-born producer returns with Zack Gray on their new collaborative single “Hurt,” out via Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records.  “Hurt” is yet another melancholic release from MitiS, as he continues to tap into the emotions of his listeners. This time around he’s taken a different approach, allowing Zack Gray to take the lead while his production provides support with subtle piano chords and echoey percussion. MitiS then seizes the reins at the drop, as a powerful wave of emotive synths takes center...

MitiS Delivers Melancholic Single “Homesick” featuring SOUNDR

MitiS has solidified himself as a mainstay on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records. The Pennsylvania-born artist has found himself releasing numerous records on the imprint, including his All I Have and Shattered EPs. Today, he returns to Ophelia with “Homesick” in collaboration with SOUNDR. “Homesick” encapsulates MitiS’ signature sound, hitting listeners with waves of deep, textured bass and soaring synths. SOUNDR’s passionate vocals add greater depth to the melancholic tune, as she croons about the struggle of maintaining a long-distance relationship and trying to remain hopeful. Their collaboration does an excellent job at pulling on heartstrings, as every second of the five and a half minute tune inspires more confidence. Although MitiS...

Although we cannot say for sure what the Philly-born artist has been up to, this new release on  Ophelia Records hints at an emotional passion project with creative depths.  “Try” features soft, soothing vocals from UK singer-songwriter RØRY. The powerful lyrics throughout the song are thoughtfully paired with emotive guitar riffs and strong piano chords to deliver a melodic masterpiece. MitiS has proven himself to be a master of his craft, as he has been perfecting his piano-driven melodic bass sounds since as early as 2010.  The composition of “Try” conjures a truly uplifting experience for those who ...
