‘Metaverse’ a top 3 contender for Oxford’s Word of the Year
The word “Metaverse” is one of three in the running to be crowned the Oxford “Word of the Year” (WOTY) in a competition run by the Oxford University Press (OUP), the publisher of the Oxford English Dictionary. According to reports, the Meta Oversight Board expressed their views that Instagram should not have gone ahead and banned a drill song from its platform after a request to do so from the London Metropolitan Police. Social media platform Instagram is set to introduce a number of nonfungible token (NFT)-related tools that will allow creators to mint, show and sel NFTs.
