The live-action Spider-Verse can’t be stopped. It’s self-sustaining now. Alfred Molina is officially reprising his Doctor Octopus role from 2004’s classic Spider-Man 2 in Marvel’s upcoming third Spider-Man film (via The Hollywood Reporter). Molina turned in a fan-favorite performance as Dr. Otto Octavius to face Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in the second entry in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. Oscar Isaac in Talks for Marvel’s Moon Knight Series on Disney Plus
After playing the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse, it looks like Oscar Isaac may be taking on another headlining role in a Marvel project — only this time as a hero. Variety reports the actor is in talks to star in the Moon Knight series coming to Disney+. Should Isaac officially sign on for Moon Knight, he’d play Marc Spector, a rich ex-mercenary who devotes himself to the Egyptian moon god Khonshu in order to save his life. As Knonshu’s avatar Moon Knight, he viciously fights crime with weapons funded by his massive wealth, often drawing comparisons to Batman in that sense. Tatiana Maslany is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Deadline reports she’s been tapped to play the title character in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk. The Orphan Black and, more recently, HBO’s Perry Mason star will headline the series as lawyer-turned-superhero Jennifer Walters. The last major Marvel character created by the legendary Stan Lee, Walters becomes She-Hulk after receiving an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Dr. Bruce “The Hulk” Banner.
