At long last, AREA21 will soon release their long-awaited debut full-length album. The cosmic side project of Martin Garrix and Maejor have signed with Disney Music Group’s Hollywood Records ahead of the album’s release. In a press release shared with EDM.com, Hollywood Records label reps confirmed that the record is due out this fall. The announcement also notes that fans can look forward to a series of songs and accompanying animated videos, produced by award-winning animation studio Titmouse, which will roll out over the course of spring and summer 2021 before the momentous album release. Martin Garrix and Maejor‘s AREA21 have revealed the final puzzle piece of their momentous return, an audio preview of their forthcoming single. AREA21 haven’t publicly announced the name of the track yet, but fans are tentatively calling it “La La La.” The song falls in the same vein as the alien-themed duo’s previous releases, perhaps most in line with “We Did It.” It features the dance-pop style of Garrix’s radio-friendly releases and bars from Maejor, a formula they’ve perfected like the veterans they are. While most Martin Garrix fans are still trying to process his and Maejor’s recent AREA21 teases, the Dutch superstar shared a new video offering a closer look at his personal life. For the 20th episode of his STMPD RCRDS Radio show, Garrix offered fans an intimate glimpse into his home setup. After a quick pancake lesson at home to start the video, Garrix showcases some of the rarities of his rock collection and then enters his home studio. He goes over some of the finer details of his home workspace and casually mentions that the last artist to record there was Maejor. Late last month, Martin Garrix and Maejor—also known as AREA21—shared a cryptic message stating that something’s coming. Now, the duo has followed up with the reveal of a new teaser and release date of new music. Shared across AREA21’s social media pages, the short video depicts an animated rendition of the two artists next to what appears to be a crashed UFO. There is an audio component of the video, but it seems to simply be an introduction of some sort. At the end of the teaser, the date “April 9th” is shown. AREA21 Share Mysterious Radio Transmission Message: “We Are Coming”

AREA21 are trying to tell us something. The collaborative alias of Martin Garrix and Maejor sent an email to EDM.com today, March 24th, containing an audio file with a cryptic radio transmission message. We are unable to confirm who exactly the speaker is due to their concealment via voice modulation, but they are clearly signaling something big on the horizon. “Hello. Mexico’s Tecate Pa’l Norte festival is set to take place in mid-April in virtual fashion. This will be the first digitized version of the festival, which opted to cancel its dates entirely in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. Prior to last year’s cancellation the event had taken place annually in Monterrey since 2012. Martin Garrix is back in the studio with two of his past collaborators, who have appeared on some of his most popular tracks.
