Evan Rachel Wood has accused Marilyn Manson of grooming and abuse that she says went on for years. Westworld star Wood released a statement on Instagram Monday morning (Feb. 1) that began, “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” Wood wrote. “He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.” The pair were in a romantic relationship that began when Wood was 19 and Manson was 38. Marilyn Manson dropped the new “Don’t Chase The Dead” single a day ahead of the release of his new album, We Are Chaos. The singer shared the LP’s title track back in July. Marilyn Manson will release his 11th studio album, WE ARE CHAOS, on September 11 via Loma Vista Recordings. Manson previewed the album, which he co-produced with Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Duff McKagan, Tanya Tucker), by issuing the title track, which echoes ’70s era David Bowie. “We are sick, fucked up, and complicated,” Manson sings on the track, a slick power ballad that builds from acoustic strums into an arena-friendly chorus.
