Joan Jett Covers T. Rex’s ‘Jeepster’ on Late Late Show
Joan Jett and her socially distanced Blackhearts rocked her version of the T. Rex gem “Jeepster” on The Late Late Show on Thursday night (Sept. 10). Her recorded version of the tune is on Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T. Rex, came out on Sept. 4 and also features T. Rex songs done by Nick Cave (who performed on Wednesday’s show), U2, Lucinda Williams and Elton John. Watch her performance below. Nick Cave Brings His Version of T. Rex’s ‘Cosmic Dancer’ to Late Late Show
To celebrate the release of AngelHeaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T. Rex, which was released Sept. 4, a number of the artists are playing their versions of the T. Rex tracks they contributed to the album. Last night, Nick Cave did a live rendition of “Cosmic Dancer,” which is off T. Rex’s 1971 Electric Warrior album. The performance looks like it was done while Cave was filming his recent concert movie, Idiot Prayer. Watch the performance below.
