Journalist claims what Man Utd have decided about signing £38m Liverpool target

Manchester United are no longer interested in signing Dayot Upamecano, according to reports from The Athletic. David Ornstein has claimed that United and Bayern Munich have recently emerged as the most ‘credible’ destination for the 22-year-old centre-back. However, United have surprisingly cooled their interest in the Frenchman who has a €42m (£38) million release clause that comes into effect once the season is over. It means any potential suitor would try to secure the signing of Upamecano next summer instead of signing him in the January transfer window. Central defence is one of the areas that United will be looking to bolster next summer. The likes of Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones have hardly made any impact under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the club should be looki...

Crouch shares what he has heard about how Man Utd star is being treated by teammates

Former England striker Peter Crouch has shared his verdict on Paul Pogba’s situation at Manchester United while replying to a question in his Daily Mail column. Last week, Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, dropped a huge bombshell claiming that the Frenchman won’t extend his deal at the Old Trafford club, hinting that his future lies away from the Premier League club. The 27-year-old struggled to make an impact under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but he has been playing well in recent matches. While he is yet to return to his best form, Pogba is, at least, showing some consistency which should delight the United boss. Pogba started in the Manchester derby that ended 0-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday. After the match, he took to Instagram to address the situation, claiming he is ‘1000%’ committed to t...

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must avoid Jose Mourinho’s mistakes to succeed

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has arguably fallen into the Jose Mourinho trap and needs to sort things out before they get out of hand. Sir Alex Ferguson often spoke about how, when setting his teams up, he would mostly focus on his own side and only a little attention was spent on the opponent. The legendary Scotsman made it a point to reiterate the balance was delicate and couldn’t sway too much in the other direction or it’d become dangerous. Mourinho often set United up on a match by match basis and it was why he was accused of not having any real tactics, philosophy or style at the club. When Solskjaer came in it was clear what he wanted the team to do and it was just a case of making the players do it better to show progression. It was partly why he won the job- for hav...

‘Big decision’: Merson suggests Solskjaer must drop one Man Utd player vs Man City ‘

Manchester United suffered a big blow this week as they were knocked out of the Champions League following their 3-2 defeat against RB Leipzig. It has been a turbulent week at Old Trafford, with news off the pitch once again dominating the headlines. Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, dropped a massive bombshell earlier this week where he claimed the midfielder won’t extend his contract at Manchester United, further hinting that his time at the club is drawing towards an end. Popular football pundit Paul Merson has suggested that United’s biggest problem at the moment is not Pogba but their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He wrote a column for the Daily Star criticising the United boss, where he suggested that Solskjaer has failed to make big decisions at the club. Merson has criticised Solskj...

Bruno Fernandes has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for November 2020. The Portuguese playmaker began the month with a 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal. Where Next For Barcelona’s Superstars?

The last 18 months at Barcelona have been turbulent to say the very least. A rare trophyless season, humiliation in the Champions League for the third year running, Lionel Messi’s transfer request, mass protests against the club president, three different managers. And, at the end of it all, a worrying financial situation. Last summer, several of the club’s biggest names departed, including Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez. The upcoming transfer windows are expected to be no different, with a number of players rumoured to be nearing the exit door. Of course, the question remains: where will they go? Let’s have a look. Lionel Messi Messi almost left the Camp Nou last summer Lionel Messi dropped a bombshell on the world of football last summer by announcing that he wanted to leave Barcelona. Ho...

Report: Man Utd ‘huge admirers’ of 23 y/o defender…could face competition from two PL clubs

One of the many things that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to fix at Manchester United is the fragile defence, and it seems they are already working on that with the next transfer window less than a month away. According to reports from Manchester Evening News, United have earmarked Ben White as one of their centre-back options for their next two transfer windows. The Red Devils are reportedly huge admirers of White. But they have other targets in mind, such as RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane. However, United are likely to face strong competition with Leeds and Liverpool keen to secure his signature as well. Neymar: No place for racism

Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir played their Champions League match to a conclusion on Wednesday, 24 hours after it had been suspended, with Neymar scoring a hat-trick before saying both teams had felt compelled to make a stand against racism in what was an unprecedented protest over an alleged comment by an official. PSG won the game 5-1 after it restarted where it had stopped the previous day, in the 14th minute, following a touchline argument over accusations the Romanian fourth official, Sebastian Coltescu, had described Basaksehir’s Cameroonian assistant coach Pierre Webo as “black”, or “negru” in Romanian. “Sometimes in extreme circumstances these things need to be done to see if the world can change a little,” said Neymar, who together with other players and the new team...
