Report: Man Utd close in on first January signing, 6-goal midfielder poised to join

Manchester United are poised to complete a £4.5million signing of the Ecuador international Moises Caicedo. According to Daily Mail, the Premier League side have managed to fend off competition from the likes of AC Milan and RB Leipzig. The 19-year-old midfielder could be the long term replacement for French international Paul Pogba who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford. Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola recently claimed that the Frenchman’s time at Manchester United is over and it remains to be seen whether the 27-year-old decides to move on at the end of this season. Moises Caicedo is a box to box midfielder who will add defensive cover and drive to the Manchester United midfield. The 19-year-old can chip in with goals as well and he has been dubbed as a mix of Paul Pogba a...

Inter Milan confirm Christian Eriksen on transfer list

Christian Eriksen could have played his last match for Inter Milan, with club CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirming Wednesday the Danish midfielder was on the transfer list. The former Tottenham midfielder missed Inter’s final game before Christmas at Verona on Wednesday, with Italian media reporting he had returned to Denmark to be with his wife who is due to give birth to their second child. “Eriksen is among the transfers,” Marotta told Sky Sport before the game. “It’s not a punishment but he has struggled to settle into the squad… so it is right to give him the opportunity to find more space elsewhere.” The Danish international arrived from Spurs on four-and-a-half-year deal in January for a reported fee of 27.5 million euros including bonuses. But the 28-year-old has scored just four goals ...

Tottenham boss ‘angry’ with Dele Alli for creating ‘problems for his own team’

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has hit out at Dele Alli, accusing the midfielder of creating “problems for his own team” in his side’s 3-1 win over Stoke in the Carabao Cup. Alli was handed a rare start at Stoke on Wednesday and looked dangerous on occasions in attack, seeing a goal-bound strike saved by Andy Lonergan in the first half. However, he was at fault for Stoke’s goal when a flick gifted possession to the home side – and it was an action that angered his coach. “For me a player who plays in that position is a player that has to link and create and not create problems for his own team,” Mourinho said in his post-match press conference. “They got us on the counterattack, so yes I was angry. “First half we were solid. They didn’t touch the ball, have a shot, have a corner. Instead of ...

Report: Everton man in red-hot form has ‘admirers’ at Man Utd

Manchester United have recovered brilliantly after a stuttering start to the season, and could find themselves just two points behind Champions Liverpool if they win their game in hand. Can Anyone Actually Challenge Liverpool This Season?

Last season wasn’t much of a pulse-raiser for the neutrals. Throughout the campaign, Liverpool dominated the Premier League, with the biggest threat to their title ambitions being the COVID-19 pandemic. It was, all things considered, a bit boring. The beginning of the 2020/21 season gave the watching fans hope of an enthralling title race this time around. Jurgen Klopp’s men showed some signs of weakness after a humbling 7-2 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa, before star defender Virgil van Dijk picked up a season-ending injury. But alas, the Reds recovered in fine fashion. The last week has seen them secure a vital late win over Tottenham Hotspur, as well as a dominant 7-0 victory against Crystal Palace, leaving them four points clear at the top of the table on Christmas day. So, are we ...

Former Manchester United midfielder, club legend and now football pundit Roy Keane has told Sky Sports that Leeds United have been outstanding this season, despite their 6-2 defeat against his former club. BBC pundit raves about Man Utd player who helped ‘really tear Leeds apart’

Former Manchester City defender turned popular football pundit Micah Richards has showered praise on two Manchester United players following their impressive 6-2 win against Leeds United. The Red Devils have picked up six wins out of their last seven games in the Premier League, and they are only five points behind Champions Liverpool. In fact, should they win their game in hand, they would be only two points behind the Reds. Richards has rightly noted that United have still plenty of work to do, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves the credit for being absolutely spot on with his tactics in plenty of big games in his time as United boss. The former Villa defender observed how United countered Leeds’ high-pressing football while speaking to BBC Sport: “Leeds are a high-energy team, who work h...

Report: Chelsea hopeful of signing 21-yr-old linked with Man Utd, at the end of this season

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has been linked with a move to Chelsea for a while now. Apparently, the Blues wanted to sign him last summer but they backed out of the transfer because of their failure to offload the fringe players. According to Athletic, the January transfer window will allow Chelsea to reignite their interest in the defensive midfielder and it remains to be seen whether they can convince West Ham United to part with their prized asset next month. The 21-year-old midfielder is the captain of West Ham United and the Hammers will want to hold on to him at least until the end of the season. The report from Athletic claims that Chelsea are hopeful of signing the midfielder in summer. The midfielder has recently been linked with Manchester United as well. Apparently, he...
