Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a fitness update on Eric Bailly following the club’s 1-0 win over Watford in the FA Cup third round. The Ivory Coast international has recently put up a string of impressive displays and was handed a starting spot on Saturday where Solskjaer made numerous changes. The centre-back had a comfortable opening half, but he was substituted prior to the interval after he received a nasty blow to his neck. United goalkeeper Dean Henderson punched a cross from a Hornets corner, but while doing so, Bailly was accidentally kneed by him on the neck. It was initially suggested that there may be concussion but, speaking after the game, Solskjaer insisted that was not the case. He added that the Ivorian had a sore neck and will be assessed ahead...

Hence, he has been linked with a potential loan exit this month and the Magpies are among the leading candidates to land his services. Van De Beek has struggled for game time since his £39million move from Ajax. The 23-year-old has started just two Premier League games this season and has been completely left out the squad for United’s last three fixtures. And De Boer thinks the Holland international should consider leaving with the Euros coming up this summer. He told AD: “The European Championship is coming, he will undoubtedly want to be there. “Maybe it would be good for him to discuss with the club exactly what they want with him. “If the view on playing time does not improve, he may have to declare that he should be loaned or even sold. “You have to be lucky every now and then. Of cour...
