Meek Mill has parted ways with Roc Nation Management, sources tell Billboard. Mill, who first signed with Roc in 2012 under a management deal, is no longer featured on the company’s website and has been removed from their social media pages. In 2019, Meek scored a joint venture deal with Roc for his imprint Dreamchasers, where he became president. Following his incarceration in 2018, Meek also teamed up with Jay-Z the following year and created Reform Alliance — a non-profit organization set to eliminate unjust sentencing laws in the United States. Andrew Gertler’s AG Artists is expanding. The management company has brought leading client Shawn Mendes’ longtime A&R Ziggy Chareton on as a partner to co-manage the Grammy nominated artist, as well as two new artists: Lauren Spencer-Smith and JP Saxe. Chareton has worked at Island Records since 2011, most recently as head of A&R, which he’ll continue in addition to joining Gertler in management. Rising singer-songwriter Spencer-Smith has been searching for new management since May after parting ways with David Ehrlich. After parting ways last year, The Kid LAROI has re-upped with Scooter Braun for management. The Australian star previously partnered with Braun in June 2021 before leaving SB Projects last September to join Adam Leber’s Rebel Management roster. The Kid LAROI then split with Leber’s team last month. A source tells Billboard that LAROI and his mother, Sloane Howard, re-approached Braun, and a deal was finalized a week ago. Kearns, who landed his first industry job at Bedlam Music Management/Dine Alone Records in 2014, laid the groundwork for CAMP just two years later. Turnpike Troubadours have signed with Andrew McInnes‘ TMWRK for management ahead of the group’s 2022 reunion tour. TMWRK’s Sydney Clark will serve as day-to-day manager for the group, while longtime agent Jon Folk with Red 11 Music in Nashville will continue to book their live performances. McInnes tells Billboard that he and TMWRK senior vp Paddy Scace were introduced to the band by David Macias at Thirty Tigers and that they eventually agreed to manage the six-person group after meeting the members in Oklahoma.
